Tomorrow, I'm going to dry fit the F-4P ducts, and as per plan, they should end up as a component I can plug onto the fuselage. If any one has any experience painting the inside of duct structures or tubes, let me know. Most folks only paint the outside of small objects, so let me know.

i am wondering if I should modify the turbine posts, or leave them stock. Stock is ugly, but as you car buffs know, it is not about 'better' if it is stock.

Dom

Go Dom, Go! Big Smile I'm dyin to see how those ducts are gonna look. As for the turbine posts, you've put so much detail in already, and if the stock posts really do look ugly, well ... go for the gold, bud! GeekedYeah

Here's one for Rich:

Way back I did a 'Reverse Relativity Warp' concept for a pal, that's why the engines are backwards:

Nice, Dom!  Yes Yes

It's a shame you had to do all that work for your friend and he backed out. It doesn't look finished though. Do you ever plan to paint it?

Yep, prawlem is Ken, i like drinkin' over, an' over....hic......lol......change the flavour, it's all the same lol:

AAaarrrrrfff......hic.....Clown+O+Clown-Devil=Toast

lolClownDuncePropellerDead

For you chemistry geeks, the formula is C2 H5 OH, not like the above diagram. That's because the diagram reduces the formula to 6 hydrogen atoms, leapfrogging the OH component and directly reporting the hydrogen in its tally, one oxygen atom removed from the carbon spine. Yeah, my family does that to me all the time.

Good news gents......it beats sniffing MEK, Methyl Ethyl Ketone,

see how nasty that is compared to booze?

hands down, on the pavement,.......'cut the tazer, officer, the perp is no longer responding'....lol......

Shiiishh dying to get this F-4P finished.......before the F-4P Cliff....lol....hic....

I know Berny had sanded all off the big raised patches off his Tamiya 1/32 Phantom, did he ever say how he did that?

Black Friday is catching on up here.....it was bound to happen.....Yes

Dom

So is "Lake of Bays Pale Ale" a local brew?  I always like trying new flavors.  Beer

Did you have a nice Thanksgiving Dom?  I know you had yours like a month ago.

It used to be the kick off for the Christmas season down here, but for some time now the greed of the retail market seems to push it back further and further each year.  This year I don't think I even saw any Halloween decorations in the stores, they just went straight to Christmas decorations.

All that talk about beer made me break down and grab one out of the fridge.  This one is "Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Traditional Wheat".  Yummy.  Beer

Ken;

most retailers now operate in the red until holiday season,

I think for some it is pure, unadulterated greed for sure, but for most,

they are dying. It's a new world. Bricks and mortar stores,

including our beloved LHS's, are a thing of the past.

Maybe one day WalMart will go bust too....lol...

We have US family so American Thanksgiving has

been a part of our holidays for 25 years now. It's hard to drive down to Ohio, or New York,

or California in the middle of the work week to visit though...

Correct me for sure, but it has been our impression

that Thanksgiving is even bigger for Americans than Christmas,

Xmas, The X-i-Days, X-cetera....did I miss any X's?.....lol...

Halloween is dead up here, as a culture of multi-cultures,

most don't bother anymore. They dress their kids up and

have a party, but Trick r' Treating is dying along with retail.

i wonder why no one tells the City planners we do not need

any more mall space?....

Any ways, I'll try not to drink all that beer myself tomorrow....lol.....

if i do manage, i will be AWOL for a while guys.....Devil

Dom

I would not say that Thanksgiving is bigger than Christmas for Americans.  Like I said, it is more like the beginning of the Christmas season.  It is the holiday that most Americans chose to spend with their parents (if they are still living), so there is a lot of people traveling.

I think I heard a statistic not very long ago that Americans spend more on Haloween decorations than on any other holiday.  So it is still pretty big here.

Sparrowhyperion

Hi Folks.  I finally felt alive enough to trot down to the basement to use my system today.  I am still hacking up a lung, but it's not as bad today.  I just got through reviewing the last few days posts and I see a lot of great work from everyone.  I can't do a lot yet.  Jeez, just the small of glue makes me want to....  Well, you get the idea.  Just a reminder.  If anyone still wants to get in the Secret Santa build, you should check out the thread soon.  I only have a couple of people so far and I would really like to get some more to make it worthwhile.

Dom, I agree with you about the sanding with Dremel tools.  I have one of the older models, abouty 12 years old, with the variable speeds.  But even at it's lowest, and with the finest grit I have for it, it melts styrene pretty quickly.  I'm on a budget so I have the Wifey pick me up those cheap generic emery boards.  They work great if you use the fine grit side.  I use them to kno0ck down flash and sprue burs.  Then I keep some testors sanding sheets around for use on large parts.  I also have some rat tail files, and sanding rods.  Different stuff for different jobs.

Well, I am off to the upper floor before my headache gets worse.  I'll check in periodically as much as I can.

Rich

Hi, Rich,

Good to hear you're on the mend. Get plenty of rest and don't worry about modelling for awhile till you're better.
