Bsyamato: Thanks, the A-20 was a nice looking plane, I don't think the replacement (the A-26 Invader) was as pretty even though it was more powerful.

One think I really like about American planes is so many got crazy nose-art Heart

The He-111 would be really cool if you get time to build her.

Hey all,
I wanted to join in but I don't want to overload myself with projects that I maybe couldn't finish.
But I do have this Mossie waiting on the assembly line,
And this one will surely be done by the end of this year.

So, allright to join or is it to far down the road to enter?

With regards, Ninetalis.

bsyamato - nice He-111! I keep eyeing that massive Revell 1/32 kit (and the Ju-88), but I've held out. So far.

Also - saw an update from Pacific Coast Models yesterday that the HK B-25 has shipped out to them...not long now!

Ninetalis: Looking forward to how she comes out, I love British aircraft but oddly have never built a Mossie. I have to pick up one in 1/48th one of these days.

Doogs: A 1/32th B-25 has to be awesome  Yes

Undersides of the A-20 is painted and masked, I should be able to get the uppers painted this Easter weekend. Will get more photos posted when I take the masking off.

Thanks Gamera,

I hope I can finish it with the rest of you guys in this GB.
Got to say that this Revell kit is pretty neat, good detail in the cockpit and such (for a Revell kit).
I'm actually wondering if this is an original Revell/Monogram kit or a Tamiya rebox of some sort...

Regards Ninetalis.

Gamera - those are the simplest markings I've ever seen! LOL...looking forward to seeing her all marked up.

My entry/moment of truth grows nearer and nearer. Came across a partial build review of the HK B-25 today that is threatening my computer's keyboard with all the drooling going on.

I knew it was going to be epic, but good lord.

And the wings are designed to be removable. Just look at this join.

And the size of the beast...

Whole thing can be checked out HERE

Doogs: Yeah, easy to ID if you're flying under her, not too easy from above or the side though Big Smile

Thanks, read the review you linked over on the aircraft forum at work today but as I think I said before the keyboard on the work laptap is messed up and some keys don't work so I can't really comment unless my boss is out and I can steal time on his computer.

Really looking forward to your WIP or blog on her. From these photos and the others in the review this looks like a magnificent kit. Bow Down

Looks good Cliff. All cleaned up and painted! Nice looking....decal! Yes

Doogs. I think quite a few folks, including myself, are looking forward to that monster B-25 WIP! Quite a kit !!

Wow.. Lot of progress here.. Haven't started yet, m'self... Or re-started, as "Home Run" is a started kit, but only at about 15%...

Whoever asked me about the 2000 lb bomb-load on the P-38 Droop Snoot being factual, yes.. It is.. She could carry one 1000-pounder on each pylon...

Yep. Insane enough indeed! Got mine pre-ordered through PCM.

Really hope I can use the kit decals (assuming they provide markings for "Who Cares? II") - olive drab over NMF + shark mouth? Perfection.

I hope you can too. Sounds like an awesome plan! ... shark mouth. Apparently, the AM decal manufacturers are also excited about the 1/32 B-25. Aeroscale has plans for a French sheme. Kits World has some now, with their usual "cheesecake". Zotz has some coming up. Their "Green Dragon's" comes to mind. Gamera, are you tempted??

Bondoman: Now that's something you don't see too often, those two French bombers are really cool.

Tom: I normally do a 'test' decal on the underside using one of the insignia first. If it screws up it's less visible and if I do have to scrape it off and replace it I've got piles of insignia in the spare decal drawer.

Doog's 1/32nd B-25 is super cool but I'll pass here, the 1/48th Monogram kit I have is big enough. Which reminds me, I still need to post those photos of the 1/24th P-47 - that's all the big honkin' plane I need right now.

Sounds like a good technique. Especially if you are not sure of the quality of the sheet. I had to go through 2 decals on the top side of that P-47 I built. For some reason, the solvaset was eating them up. It woulda been nicer if that had happened on the underside, though it all worked out in the long run. I was just running out of decals!

It is okay I guess? Whistling

Doogs: Thanks for that 1/32 B-25 link!  Now the only problem is I can't hardly wait for my kit of it to come in.

Dude, me either. I'm planning to start it the day it arrives. Or as soon as I can get the sprues washed (which sounds like it might take days!).

Hoping I can build slowly enough that the G-Factor gear struts come out in time for me to add them.

YAH! Now I have more than one decal on her! Still you might be able to see where I messed up the white strip on the tail fin. Sorry the photo is a little blurry, I was too lazy to set up the tripod.

Thanks Tom, I had some problems tracking down that Zotz decal sheet but I'm glad I did. Funny, the sheet was made in Mexico, then apparently where it made it's way to China, then I bought it off Ebay and had it shipped back to States. Indifferent

Funny how that stuff works out sometimes, I have a kits, produced in the US, then shipped off to Japan, then found it in on an expo somewhere around here!Whistling
Actually pretty funny, it's writtin on the inside where the guys bought it before me,

About your 'blurry' picture, I noticed that holding your breath helps certain times to take a good picture instead of beeing blurry and all, maybe you should try it next time when you don't feel like using your tri-pod.

Try the opposite. Take a deep breath, exhale slowly, and shoot just as you've emptied the air from your lungs. Also keep your elbows at your sides.
