Thanks guys... I know its a strech with the Do335, but it is two engines, and it does carry bombs,(grin) but I did ask for a ruling from the Administrator(Panzer Pilot) and he gave the offical okey dokie! LOL... The resin is kind of a pain in the butt and I have some refining to do along the way, but we will see.

I'm going to go for something a littl less esoteric, and hopefully a bit more straightforward. The LHS had this at a good price. Tamiya 1/72 Mosquito B.IV

Thank you BSYamato and Trey... I used to just build and shelve, But since joining in on these group builds, others get to see my efforts and I get to see all of yours. So many talented builders here. I guess I'm also blessed with a VERY understanding wife (who happens to work afternoon shift) and is wise enough to see how much I love doing this and how it helps me to unwind after working all day.

Looking forward to seeing more from all of you too!

OK guys here she is.. As always I stand (with girded loin) open to any critique, comments, or constructive criticisms. I call this "The End Is Near". I imagine somewhere in early to mid April 1945 She is being readied for what would likely be her last mission when the Americans arrived and ceased the preperation, all but a few fled, and the crew chief proudly shows off "his" aircraft to his captures.   Thanks, Doug

And where is that bomb loader from.

Ye, its all going well. This is one of those GB's i meant to watch, but so easy to lose track.

Thanks Bish... Kit is the Tamyia 1/48th scale, not sure of the production #, With Verlinden resin engine and cockpit updates. The figures are Tamiya US Troops, and the bomb loader is all scratch built from sprue and leftover old parts. Don't be a stranger! hope to be in a build with you sometime. Doug

Doug: Nice work there, the 335 turned out great and the dio and figures is really cool. I like the idea of the ground crew chief shows off 'his' plane to the new owners.

Is the loader based on any photos or just one you made up. Sorry if i seem a bit obsessed, but German dio accesories like this are hard to come by, and i am always looking for ideas.

I am in a few GB's at the moment, and it would be a pleasure to share one with you. Thats a stunning build.

Looking forward to seeing your Mosquito WIP,Gamera, as always, Thanks, Yes when I was a young Marine, I always admired our "Top" (M/Sgt) who would proudly show off "His" chopper that we maintained. Made us feel good. See, the pilot only THINKS its his craft, and we let him believe that(grin). Bish... Yes I did see a photo of a bomb loader but admit that I did take a some "liberty" with the construction. I will try to find it again and get you a copy to study, it was a electric (battery) run cart that was moved with an electric motor and electric lift, but it was a push around unit. I made mine a rider. I've worked with forklifts (service tech) now for about 35 years and love hydraulics.

Thanks, i would love to see that. Good thing about these builds is that you can do almost what ever you wnat, and no one can say its wrong.

Just finished up with other G/Bbuilds and finally get to start on my Ju88!. I went with a Verlinden resin office

Next was removing all the raised interior details

The fit is really pretty good just some minor filing required

The bulk of the major parts are now ca'd in place

The fuse halves fit good ,more trimming of the resin parts was needed for a flush fit

Test fit of the lower canopy looks promising no major gaps to be seen

Resin always adds a sweet touch to a kit... Looking forward to wip pics on this one. As much as I love the Me109 and as many as I've built over the years, There has ALWAYS been a place in my heart and mind for the Ju88. I got to see one many years ago, and while not in fighting trim... WOW what an aircraft! That booger is huge! Looking good so far!
