I dunno. Whenever I shoot my WIPs with a pistol they always come out "overexposed"

 Gamera:

Thanks guys!

Ninetalis, I'll give holding my breath a try- thanks!

Try the opposite. Take a deep breath, exhale slowly, and shoot just as you've emptied the air from your lungs. Also keep your elbows at your sides.

Propeller  That is a pretty universal statement. Are you guys talking about airbrushing? Take a deep breath, shoot. Ack!!

Gamera - nice job on the A-20!  When I did mine I just painted the white stripe on the tail:

Used the same Zotz decal sheet, too!

B-17: Thanks! Your A-20 inspired me to pick up the kit and decals, hope mine turns out half as well as yours did! Yes

I kinda wish I'd painted the stripes too now though... Sad

Bsyamato: Oh, no, not THIS model. It's some others that make me want to blow up the bench...

Still searching for the muffler off an armoured car - it's as big as a pencil and about two inches / 6cm long so I can't imagine how it could be hiding...

Hey guys, finally got an update on my B-26. I painted and detailed the interior and got the fuselage together. Alot of nasty seams on this one, but I believe I have 'em sorted out.

Interior was painted with Tamiya Flat Green and Gloss Aluminum.

I picked out some of the details in the cabin, but they probably won't be seen when I button her all up.

Pretty basic stuff here. I just put the canopy in Future to cut down on the "thickness" and trimmed out the silver bits with a Sharpie.

Interior detailing

So that's where I'm at. I really like this kit despite it's mold quality. Thanks for watching.

Von - nice! Got one of these on it's way to me. Always did like the Marauder. I'll be following your build and totally stealing tips!

Haven't heard boo from PCM about the HK Mitchell yet, but others are making noises like the things are reaching the distributor (PCM) and shipping out this week. So I may have a monster to contend with by this weekend!

Ed: She's really looking good there! I think the B-26 may be in my IMHO one of the best looking twin-engine bombers of the war.

Doogs: Well, at least you're getting a little more time to clear the bench off so you'll have room for the monster.

Thanks guys. I agree, it is a very sharp looking bomber. I like the lines of it and the canopy looks so good, it reminds me of an old chopped Model A hot rod or something like that. Anyhoo, Doogs I think you will be able to tear this kit up and do it justice. I got mine for $12 shipping included off Ebay, can't beat that!

Well, a certain monster is currently out for delivery!

On a day when I've got clients in town, and have to take them to dinner and all that fun stuff. If it wasn't for that, I'd be tempted to play the work from home card just to rip into that box as soon as possible!

Hmmm - i think I'm now "officially lurking" as I recently picked up some kits that could be an interesting option in here. Don't sign me up officially yet though, I need to clear up some other GB commitments first.

I was thinking that, hate to volunteer something after it has already been started. (I picked up some old 1/72 Heller kits of some French a/c including a Bloch 174 and Lioré 45; both very interesting looking machines.

I'll be skipping the -17...now if it was a B-24 (or a 1/12 P-47!) it'd be a different story.

But I bet with all these big big bombers coming out, someone'll throw down on a B-24 in the next three years.

Alrighty guys heres what Ive been working on. Its not totally done, but you get the gist of it. Some parts of it were fun to build while others were a pain. I think it turned out alright. Definitely the largest project I've ever built. In a recent trip to Hobby Lobby...I saw a 1/48 scale B-29 Superfortress...36 inch wingspan...think I found a future project hehe.

I gotta get in on this.  My project for the summer will be a 1/48 Monogram B-26 done up as "Barracuda" a NMF B-26C from the 344th BG.  I plan on making a pre-mission dio sometime with it, getting fueled up and loaded for a mission.....but in due timeSmile

Nice - I'll be following the B-26 closely - got the same one and plan the same markings. Not sure when I'll get to her yet, though...bench is done clogged full these days!

The Marauder is really gonna test my skills.  Since it'll be all shiny I want to scribe and rivet the whole thing and since there's pretty much no interior details aft of the bomb bay I'll have to scratch a bit if I want the waist windows open.  Only thing I need to do now (while I wait for some AM details to arrive) is find some pics of the actual plane....I've only been able to find one but I cant tell from it if the invasion stripes were painted over and/or removed later in her career.

WVP51: Super cool work there! Not much more to do. Very cool scheme, I'm going to have to do that one some day.

Doogs: Wow! She is a monster, looking forward to starting her.

Redraider: Sounds very cool, love the B-26.

Finished inking the panel lines on the A-20 today. Going to start painting and attaching the canopy and clear parts so I shouldn't have much more work left. Will post photos soonish!

I've finally been able to find some pics of the plane I want to do.  Unfortunately they're just nose shots and don't let me know if her invasion stripes were removed in late 1944.  Nevertheless it's great that I've finally been able to find something after weeks of searching

I am going to look for a Japanese bomber since no one seems to be doing one but none in my stash currently.  Any suggestions on which one.
