I'm sure it will be another stunner Trey. It's also nice to see some resin that actually fits as it should, doesn't happen that often.
Cheers
Tony
I'm just taking it one GB at a time.
Doug thanks ,I'm still fascinated by the Ju-88 in all its various versions, I think one could make a solid argument that it had more variants than any other aircraft of the war.
Tony thats a fact I've had some that required major surgery for a proper fit!
I 've not made much progress, added the rudder pedals and some small details. Then worked on the seats ,especially tricky shaving the resin out of the radio seat head rest posts without breaking it! I'm still on the fence for what paint scheme and unit, thinking of going the 3./KG54 route and trying my hand at some squiggles

I had to clean up the ejector pins in the tail wheel area and decided just to sand it all down and scratch back in the details
I used some Evergreen tube cut to length, then softened with tenax to bend into the curve and set
Both sides completed
I then added the O2 spheres using some bird shot
I also scratched up some control cables
I'm not sure how much if any of it will ever be seen again but I know its there;)
RLM 02 and a wash then time to button the fuse up
Wow Trey, that's some nice interior detail! And really sharp looking resin replacement parts.

I have started and almost finished the two kits i got a BF 110 and a G4m Betty.
The bigger one is the betty.
Wow, doing both at the same time... I'd get too confused, I'd likely wind up with a Bettyschmitt!

Nice little piece FRIGHTFUL6_7 i suppose are in 1/144?
Great detailing work Trey this time not great speed work
rtoo speed makes ugly results, too relax don't make results
Bsyamato thanks Amigo, this one is going rather slow is'nt it ;)
I spent most of the last 2 days concentrating on the office. I scratched in some hydraullic lines for the rudders
Also some wiring for the ip as the back of it is slightly visible thru the finished canopy assembly
The office assembly is fini and ready to mate up to the fuse
Some geussmology on the actual wire routing, not finding any good ref pics of the actual from this angle
I did take some geusses with color and location of gear /instruments but tried to keep it as authentisc as possible.
Pretty freakin` awesome Trey! I`ve been in a little modeling slump and you`re giving me a little incentive with this build. I`ve been playing World of Tanks on my new laptop and it`s keepin` me away from my bench...pretty cool game but I`m starting to get frustrated with it...I`m sure there`s some cheating going on....can`t be that I stink at it..?..nah....lol

Beautiful work! As was previously stated "freakin awesome"!
Len thanks really appreciate the compliment, you gotta watch those on line gamers I'm sure theres shady play at hand. You ca'nt be that bad at it;)
Rigidrider thanks, still drooling over that beauty you did Sir!
I've got the fuse and office mated up,previous Ju88 Dragon kits gave me a fit in this area this one seems better,is that possible?
The wing tips always ate my lunch until a fellow member told me to glue the tips to the wing halves then join the assemblies. Much better fit !
Even the nacelles seem to fit better on this kit than other Dragon 88's,wierd
Wings went on with no trouble and set the dihedral, just waiting for it to set up and on to the canopy.
While waiting I got out my old monocote iron and 'weighted 'the tires, the iron has a non stick finish so it worked real well.
nope!! never this time. Despite the high details you put on,you fail to be slow
LOL
TREY, you don't hang about do more, and more stunning work.
What a monocote iron. I once read a tip about flattening wheels in a bowel of very hot water, but i wasn't to happy with it, and you can't always buy resin wheels for a kit.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
I know why it didn`t work Bish...you can never get your bowels hot enuff to flatten a tire......LMAO!

Rigidrider...my Avatar pic is of a Nichimo Toryu I built back in `07...good little kit, I have another in my stash plus the Hasegawa Nick/ Fuel truck kit...my favorite Japanese A/C.

Trey: Wow! Sharp work, nice resin cockpit and great painting and detail you've added!
Bish: Hope Trey doesn't mind me jumping in here but I think the monokote he's referring to is a material used on flying balsa model aircraft to replace tissue paper. Once it's applied you use a small iron, something like a small clothes iron to shrink the monokote to get a tight skin on the model.
Now i know what you mean. My step dad used to make R/C aircraft and had a small iron. Thanks.

No problem at all! Monokote is the trade name - I think monocote is the generic term.
Len... I was wondering about that... Yes a nice kit indeed. a bit more then I had figured on. I thought it might take alot of work with fit and detail, but was plesantly surprised at the ease of assy.
Cliff thanks ,no prob you nailed it .Gondola is added and what at first looked like an easy step wound up taking a long time to finish in properly. There was a good size gap on the port side and required several test fits to get right.
That looks like it's been hard work Trey.
I've made a start on my 1/72 Tamiya Mosquito B Mk IV. This one will be a bit of a race, as I have to complete it for a club event and have been given just four weeks to finish it.
As a bonus, they are giving me the kit, although I luckily already had one so could start immediately. Every day will be important on this one.
I'll post pics tonight.
Just a question. The kit also comes with a decal option for an overall PRU Blue Mosquito PR Mk IV. It's a simpler paint scheme that will take less time. Does it disqualify the model from this GB is I choose the PR version ? At this stage, I am assuming that it does, but would love to be advised that I can.
I do want to build it for this GB, but if I run out of time, my priority has to be to complete it in time for the club.
Trey: Greenhouse canopies - oh how I hate them...
Still, you've done a really nice job there on yours.
Tony Thanks, looking forward to seeing the Mossie build!
Cliff thanks and I so hate the twin rear facing gun canopy ,the single is sooo much easier!
I've spent days redoing the rear facing guns and the ammo belts and spent cartridge chutes trying to get it right, this is it I'm calling it close enough!
I've gotten the RLM 76 sprayed after preshading with some grey and a light blue combo
Preshaded the upper surface with a dark grey
Looking sweet TREY. That pit looks stunning.
Yeah, superb job there Trey, she's coming along great!
Trey, that is outstanding work going on there!
Bish,Cliff,B17PILOT Thanks kindly!
I'vegotten the basic cammo on,starting with RLM79
Then the RLM71 tinted with some 70
The squiggle on the bottom RLM74
The top is RLM77 that I tinted with some white
The only actual photo I could find of the actual bird
I will go back and 'tweak' it a bit after the decal session, all in all its not too bad for my first squiggle attempt. What do you all think?
