I'll jot both of these down in the intro post Monty. I think I may have one of these down but I'll check. Good to have you in here buddy!!!

Well, for all intents and purposes, I'm saying done. By far one of the most frustrating parts of this build has been trying to take a half decent picture. Until I figure that out, either one of these will have to do.
Thanks to all of you for your kind words, tips and encouragement along the way. Thanks to my wife for donating a hair to become the antenna.
I'm still mulling over the idea of doing another 190; it's a great place to be.
Allen
There aint nuthin' wrong with that at all Chanter!!! Wow! There's just something about working with an all white scheme that scares the livin' daylights outta me! Great work! I'll definitely get this posted in the Competed builds section of the intro post soon.
As far as gong for another build.....DO IT. We are all here to cheer you on. I will say that EZ line from Bobe's Hobby House is the way to go for antenna wire. There are mixed feelings about it across the board but I use it alot. Will get you posted buddy and thank you for being a part of this GB, Joe
Nice work Chanter. You captured the look of that particular bird nicely. I say build another...
Joe, that black 10 scheme looks really cool. Can't wait to watch your progress. Cockpit looking great as usual. Love your seatbelts. The seat cushion look great and made me wish I'd not have gotten in a hurry and done mine over. Too late now, though. DId you make them yourself and how?
Monty, welcome to the GB! The box scheme of your A3 is one of my favorites, will you be building to that scheme?
Chanter, really like your finish / scheme. You did a great job with it. It would be very cool if you built another! You are fun to build with.
What a neat idea, using human hair for antenna wire! And your wife is a good sport too. :)
Greg: I did'nt make my own. lol ! I used the kit part, painted it rust, applied a light wash and dry brushed with dry black pastel. Thanks for the good word brutha!!
Chanter:I've got your beauty on the front page of the build bubba. Thank you again for contributing to this build and would like you to stick around and build another one.
Herman is pleased.......
This is just after I joined the fuselage halves together with the CMK tail wheel interior installed. The whole thing turned out to be WAY too thick and required not only sanding the thickness of the interior "box" down in thickness but also sanding the inside of both sides of the fuselage in the tail area to get this thing to fit right. After that the supplied resin spring would not fit properly into place so I used a section of guitar string from a local music store painted steel and weathered for the spring. All interior was painted RLM O2 and a wash applied. I was happy!
Nice save Joe! Looks great!
Thanks handi! I'm actually recapping the build to the point I left from a couple of months ago. So far this kit has been a dream!
Nice work Joe. Good looking interior detail. Sometimes, scratch built is better.
Joe... Great progress! Very nice detail and I agree with Nathan, scratch built deffinently the way to go!
Allen... Strong finish! Good looking bird... Do another... OK? Oh, by the way, you should have seen the look on my wifes face when she saw me pulling a hair from her hair brush for the same reason! Priceless... Now I just use 2lb test fishing line.
Monty, looking forward to seeing your work! And again, Welcome!!!
Thanks Greg... Yeah, I just got a wild hair and tried it, Cheaper kit to start with, wouldnt have dome that to a top quality kit! ha.

Thanks Nathan and Doug. This is the only color plate I have out of the Crandall book for this bird but it's helping out lemme tell ya!
I'm almost positive pics of this bird are in the Green Hearts book, First in combat with the Dora 9, if anyone has it that can share...I don't have the book but I'll search through my other refs tonite.
Cool Nathan. Thanks. I'm down to the point now of having references for the bare metal wing detail.
Guys, thanks very much for the comments.
Doug - I plucked the hair right from my wife's head. lol she said "go ahead" but I think I grabbed 2 by mistake, which means that's the last time I'll get them right from the source.
I am going to stick around and do another. I always loved the JV44 Doras, so that will be next. It's just a matter of whether I buy the Tamiya kit, which comes in a JV44 version but apparently has some short gear issues, or a Hobby Boss and get some aftermarket decals. The Tamiya would definitely be the more cost effective solution.
Gents: Thanks for the welcome!!
Chanter: Lovely work on the White 190!
Simple Harness
I went straight to business with adding some masking tape harness. Seats are so small that I decided to give it a simple Tamiya masking tape treatment. Tamiya seat (left); Academy seat (right)
In The Tub
Here's the tub looks like with the seats in place. Tamiya's (left) copy has a higher definition of surface detail compared to Academy's (right).
Great start Monty. Those belts will sure spruce up the pits.
Chanter- The HobbyBoss kit should be quite affordable. Don't they go for around 35 bucks? The Tamiya kit has many issues besides the gear, and I would not even consider using the kit decals. I know Eduard offers the JV44 limited edition kit, but that is fairly spendy as it includes 2 kits.
LOLOL... Your a braver guy the me Allen!!! Glad your sticking around...Looking forward to seeing some more of your work.
Well Doug, I guess it's a fine line between brave and stupid. Guess which one she called me? lol
Monty, thanks very much. I look forward to seeing your build take shape. I'm particularly interested in your tape harnesses, as I haven't had much luck in that department.
Nathan - I ordered the Hobby Boss kit and some Eagle Cal decals. It was pretty reasonable; it's just the shipping that irks me, as I have no local hobby shop around here.
Look out below! (my first Group Build badge - yippee!)
Damnit, Allen. I wish i saw your post earlier. I have said Eduard dual combo on my bench and a lot of decals to spare. I could've sent you some...
Chanter Well Doug, I guess it's a fine line between brave and stupid. Guess which one she called me? lol
You'll be glad you did that instead of pluck hairs!! LOL
OK friends, I'm done with this one...
Again, this is a Revell/Monogram (Dragon)Pro Modeler FW190 G-2/3. It was a member of 1/stab- SG2 designated Red7. Her pilot at this time was OberLt. Herbert Bauer, Flying out if Furstanwalde, Hungary, Late 1944/45. I have no info on the craft or pilot other then whats above, not knowing whether they survived the war or not.
I am going to do a dio base for this one and will post pictures when complete... Thanks, Doug
Beautiful build Doug ! Bravo man!!
Yeesh, Ya leave town for a day and a half and you find yourself with pages of remarkable modeling to catch up on. I'll do my best to touch on everyone.
Doug: Supremo, Fantastico!!! Bravo, my friend on one absolutely awesome Butcher Bird. That one does indeed deserve to be dioed up. Your paint and weathering is just top notch stuff. I particularly like your exhaust effect. What shade of brown did you use. I will be doin something similar as my bird operated out of Latvia and presumably ran a richer mixture.
Monty: Welcome to the GB. It is really fantastic to have you join us. Love the fact that your in with a couple of 1/72's. Looks to me you are off to a great start.
Allen: Very beautiful work! Truly well done. Sweet Action for you stay on here with us and punch out another.
Joe: Glad to have you backing knocking out some more incredible modeling. Excellent progress so far.
jugjunkie: Nice work so far. But, I am curious about the installing of the antenna prior to painting the canopy frames. Is that temporary or do you have a plan I am not familiar with?
Take Care all. I hope to have some progress for you all shortly

Thanks Handi, JR... I user a artist acrylic Brunt Umber, Thinned about 10 to 1 (10 thinner to 1 paint) then just barely dusted with some Tamiya X19 smoke, about 3 to 1. The "Smoke is fairly transparent so not too much thinning is required to get it translucent. The "Americana" brand of artist acrylic I used, does NOT thin with alcohol or Lacquer thinner and becomes gummy if tried. So just straight water is used to thin, leaving a very thin and runny mixture, so I had to lower pressure just enough to where the mix would still atomize properly but not bead up and run. several passes were required to get it to do as I wanted (drying inbetween coats w/hair dryer) building up coverage but still able to barely see the paint underneath.
Sorry ...long description but thats how I did it,
Doug
PS Welcome back Joe! Glad all went well on your short trip.
Doug, that looks great! I really like her "flood pants" too.
Clemens, I appreciate the offer, it was very kind. No sweat for me to order the stuff, I just need to exercise patience while it ships. We moved from Ottawa in 2011. Go figure I get back into this hobby after we leave. There are no lack of hobby shops there.
Am now chanting (no pun on the username intended) EZ-Line EZ-Line over and over.
Doug:That thing is just SICK!!!!! I'll get that thing posted to the intro post today man. Good grief!!! That thing is clearly over the top. I'm glad you are still here and building buddy.
Allen:Chanting.....hahahahaha...."I want EZ line! I want EZ line......." lol
Congratulations on your first GB badge as well! What a GB to start it off with. Thanks for joining this build and continuing on here.
Joe Rix:Cant wait to see those pics man!!!
Monty:Another 72nd scaler that kills it with the detail! You and Bish must know each other! lol Keep it coming Monty. Good stuff.
Clemens:Dude where's the pics? Can't wait to see more of your progress pal.
Ok fellas! Here's where it got really fun for me. I built this 213 as though I were assembling a real engine and it almost felt like I was. So without further delay here's the recap of the progress pics:
First we start with the base engine right out of the Aires box:
Its got alot of detail right out off of the resin block as you can see.
Next I applied a coat of RLM 02 gray with a HEAVY wash and a light dry brushing of black pastel to give it not only a "worn in" look but also a different color overall.
Next I focused on the supercharger/ accessory drive gear box on the back of the engine. I just went stoooopid here! What a blast this was. Again a coat of RLM 02, heavy wash and a light dry brushing of ground up black pastel. Then I started painting the detail and adding it to the base part. The PE lubrication lines and the supercharger intake screen just added extra "flavor " to it.
Displayed below is the completed supercharger/ accessory gear box taped to a MM paint bottle:
and the other side:
Looking great Joe ,,, Monty looking forward to seeing more of yours as well
