JOE RIX

Joe, I'll be a puttin' together a 1/72 Hasegawa FW190F-8. I have PE seatbelts already and a sweet AM decal sheet enroute. Thanks for getting this going Joe as I'm breaking ground on Luftwaffe aircraft here. Something that is long overdue for me.

                            Joe

Joe which decal sheet have you got coming. I've got the same kit and was to happy with the decals, so i got a set from Authentic Decals.

Bish - I too got the Authentic Decals F-8 set. 12 options on the sheet. I'm leaning towards one of the MTO schemes. Joe

Thanks guys. The decal sheet I have has decals for a few 190s, a Do 335, and a He 162. All have tweaked my interest.

Cheers

Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

I have some decals to do an FW 190A-8 in French Air Force markings, circa 1946. So there you have my entry.

That's going to be a plane that definitely stands out in a crowd. Never thought of it but that is a great idea. Can't wait to see it already. Seems like time can't fly by fast enough to get to January!!!

Thats gonna be an interesting build Tony, I keep forgetting that the fw190 remained in service with the french for a short while after the war. They also got to keep some Yak 3 and 9s. Woulda been an interesting fleet for a post-war air force.

Killer badge Ninetails...One of the best I've seen, Most all are cool but some just reach out and grab ya! This one grabs ya!

Thanks Doug, It is very pleasurable to see so many people getting worked up about this GB with this new badge! (in a good way) But I can't really take all the credit for this, I just edited a drawing of a comic book drawer (although I can remember his name, I hope he is as happy as you guys to see that we're using it for a purpose like this)
I put a special layer over it, adjusted some tones and pieces in the 'sky' and other details.

I wish I could draw like some of those comic book guys, although I'm trying my best learning to do that as I'm trying to learn how to become a good modeler, one small step at a time
(that's how I like it, not overrushing things) I might need some pictures when I want something explained (because long texts allways seem to bore me and leaves me with alot more questions, sorry) but I'll get there with the help of guys like you and my IPMS chapter!

Anyway, I don't wanna go off topic here, Mustang, tomorrow I'll be going to that convention I mentioned before, I hope I'll find that decal sheet which I spoke off and maybe a 190 A-8 to build the one I have in mind! I'll be sure to post it when I find 'em! Otherwise, well there still are some big conventions coming up before 2013 comes up, that is, if the world isn't going to end before we get there, ... lol

With regards, Ninetalis.

This one grabs ya!   Mustang, you've already got the kit I'll start out with and by saturday I should be able to pare down the aircraft and paint ( I  hope) I think I told you but likely 2Jg1 or 3Jg26. Still checking for paint schemes and suplimental markings if I dont have them already. I think this is going to be a kick ass build!

Hey, btw, how do you get the badge that you have on your sreen when you post?

Go to community settings, then inside 'signature' you post the '[IMG]' code of the image you want as a 'standard' below your posts,
just don't take a to big one because otherwise it might be annoying for others to scroll down the entire way

My badge are 100px (pixels) high and the badges I design and post for others are 150px, those should do the trick as it beeing readable but not annoying for others.

With regards, Ninetalis.

The hard part is gona be figuring out the paint scheme I wanna go with.

I've got two in mind but have the same kind of problem. I look at it this way: Given the 11 weeks left until the build starts and I'm looking at between 10-11 months to build this puppy I've got alot of time to decide what my scheme is going to be.

As I said in the feeler thread...pencil me in for a 1/48 Hasegawa A-6 . Great looking badge too!

OK, I am in with a FW-190A-5 in 1/48 from Eduard!

Got it! I'm building an Eduard too. It looks challenging but I hear that their website helps alleviate some of the construction problems.

Ninetalis

Haha, Thanks for the confidence guys!
I hope that I don't need to change another badge again.
Designing a badge is fun, redesigning a badge SUCKS *SS!!

Just for the reconfirming Mustang, I'm in with a 'something in 1/48', very sure it will be an A-8.
So put me down for an Fw 190 A-8 in 1/48 and my girlfriend with a
Eggplane Fw-190A from Hasegawa. (you can put her under my name)
I have been thinking a while to build a captured FW190 since it's VERY orange and not a difficult camo that is above my level, I've seen them decals around on some convensions and I'm going to the IPMS Belgium one this weekend, which is supposed to be one of the biggest ones around here.

Still don't know which kit, it will probable be the Tamiya, Italeri or Eduard FW 190 A-8.
With regards, Ninetalis.

Got you covered. Man those GB badges sure do look great. Can't help but saying it again.

That badge is too pretty not to join up.  I may be biting off more than I can chew with all thse GB's but by start time I should have most of the others done.

Count me in for the Eduard D9 Dora Profipack.  The nice newish one.  I only have the interior started and nothing else.  I lost the control stick to the hardwood floor monster(my desk is a mess and so is the floor around it), shouldn't be too hard ot scratch/kitbash one together.

Well alrighty then fantacmet. Got you down for that and will see you around here. This is gonna be a blast!

I'm in. Not sure with what yet. Outside of the P-47, the 190 is probably the best-represented subject in my stash (1 1/48 Hasegawa A-8, 3 1/48 Eduards, 2 1/32 Hasegawas and a Hobby Boss Ta 152...).

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought

Professor, looking at the two PCM kits in the stash...  they look to be really nice, fun kits with all the goodies thrown in- think Eduard's ProfiPack or Royal Class boxings.   PE is by Eduard, decals by Cartograph, and the resin and plastic is done in the Czech Rep., so I'm guessing Eduard as well.  The molding, detail and engraving on the plastic parts is good and restrained, rivet-wise it looks like a Hasegawa sprue as opposed to Trumpeter or Tamiya.

They look to be worth the extra $$, especially the Macchi C.202. if you can find one.

Ninetalis- awesome work on the badges!
