Modelcrazy, same thing happened to me, but with the intake. No email saying it was on its way, it just magically appeared in the mailbox!

It doesn't matter that you ARE the best, but that you DID your best!

Here's my 104 update. Ready for paint, but probably won't get to it until this weekend,

Guess what. Even though Revell said they didn't have the clear tree for my old F100 kit, to my surprise, it just showed up today anyway.

Wow, now I have too many F100 canopies.

Anybody need a 1/48 F100 canopy?

Wow, that says a lot for Revell!  Great customer service!

TAD,

I'll be using Polished Aluminum and Chrome Alclad II. This will be the first time at trying it.

Hi Steve,

Gamera (Cliff) knows quite a bit about using Metalizer paints.  So if you have any questions, he would be more than happy to assist.

Hey Steve!  Great news on the canopy!  Looking forward to seeing both of your builds.  Got to love the built in angle of the wings on the 104!  How will you be finishing it??

I received my replacement canopy for the F100, so I'll be building both the F100D and F104C.

Sign me up with a crossover Monogram 1/48 F-100D Super Sabre. Maybe I can finally get moving on it. Work and hobbies don't mix.

Hi Steve,

I updated the roster to include your F-104C.  Another very cool plane!  I love the Century fighters myself!

I received an email from Revell today.

" Our apologies, but due to the age of the kit, these parts are no longer available from Revell"

That's OK I thought. I just ordered the canopy for the Monogram kit through Squadron.

Thanks for the tip Dave. I would never guessed someone made an AM of the canopy.

Otherwise I would be looking at the kit like a little kid missing a very important Lego piece.

I'm checking squadron now.

Yeah, I'd hate to see you miss out on the chance to build this great kit.  I've built a couple of them and you can't beat them for the price and detail....now, if I could only get that natural metal finish down!!!Tongue Tied

Dave,

I haven't checked squadron yet. that's a good idea. I'll do that if Monogram doesn't have it.

Thanks

Ken,

I'm trying to get the needed parts for the Hun, but it's not looking good for a 43 year old kit.

So, if it's all the same to you, I'll switch to the 1/48 Monogram F100C (a 36yo kit). Hopefully it's all there.

Steve

Hey Steve,

DId you check with Squadron Shop mail order for a replacement canopy for your Hun? I think Falcon? has a replacement vacuformed canopy for the Monogram F-100 kit.....just an idea!

Can this group build still be joined?

Most certainly!  What are you planning on building Painklr?

Ken,

I've run into problems with my F100. I seem to be missing the clear plastic tree, so I need to find another Hun.
