Snap!  I'm in with my Hasegawa 1/48 G-2.

Mustang, morning, Happy New Year and thanks for running the GB .

Will be done as a crossover with the Aces build.

SchattenSpartan, I have seen you were looking for decals (but may have ordered some already) I have the following old old decals floating around if you or anyone else wants them. The personalised markings for Marseille are also up for grabs, I need the stencils and crosses for my build.

My build will be as black 6, which ended up in the Duxford flying displays.

Thank you to the one that designed the mug. I appreciate that. I am still lacking some paint before I can get started.  I am hoping I can get to the hobby store tomorrow make a supply run.  I hope everyone has a happy new year. To our allies across the pond. I hope more episodes of midsomer murders comes to Netflix.  One of my favorites.  Happy New Year!

I ordered mine from Zazzle. They have the mugs with a black inside and handle so when for that. Unfortunately I think it has to ship across the pond, but none of the UK sites I found did that. The outside of the mug is white, but I liked the look of the white edging around the badge.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

CafePress looks to have black option for mug, but I got the Canadian site version:

Anybody know where I can get a black coffee cup to put the black badge on that Clemens made? I looked at Vistaprint and couldn't find anything yet.

Maybe, got a profile?

I just sent off the PMs with the mug designs. If you are on the build roster and didn't get a PM, please tell me and I'll correct that as soon as possible.

Ok folks I will call this the starting point for this group build.  I will not have time to get to the bench before the coming weekend so I will post this up to show where I am at this point.   All updates will now be here in this thread.

A finished wing.   That stage is done.  Well except for the light on the tip and that will not happen till later anyway.  The finishing process was a gloss black coat and then Model Master Steel, a misting of Alclad Airframe Aluminum, and then Furnace tape on the leading edge.  I did have to reinstall a line for the landing gear hydrolic (spelling was never my strong suit) lines.

...
...

I also added just a little bit to the rudder.

...

I used some reference pictures and fashioned a fuel tank.

...

And I made a choice.  I choose to do the following aircraft markings.

...

My starting point for the interior.

Ribs white glued in place for the moment.  Roughed MW 50 tank.

...
...
...

Now the plan has also evolved to include the fueling lines and the lines for the booster system.  For that I needed to open up some panels.

...
...

As you can see I still have a long, long way to go.

All comments, critiques, and criticism are encouraged.

Joe

Jay: A K-4 sure would be interesting. What do you think of the Trumpeter kits compared to Hasegawa's big 109s?

I love the Hasegawa F, G, and K. They have been out for a long time, so there is a ton of AM available to let you build it to whatever level you want. Easy to build, fit is excellent. Will take them every time over the RoG G-6, which I really disliked. The Hasegawa E is very old and not worth building IMHO, considering what is out there. CyberHobby easily the best Emil in this scale.

I have built two Trumpy 109's. The G-10 above, and an E-4. Since I am a riveter, the Trumpy kits save me a lot of time over the other manufacturers, but I prefer rivets made with a beading tool versus the holes. The E-4 has a lot of nice features and goes together nicely. None of the fiddly PE hinges that the CH kit has. That said, the cockpit is laughable. I built mine with the canopy closed and was happy with the result. The G-10 has a few minor issues, but very enjoyable to build.

These are my two Trumpeter builds. I enjoyed both a lot.
