Ok guys, the mug designs are all done now!

All of you should recieve a PM with your personal design either today or tomorrow (depends on how much time I got today)

BTW, we already have 36 participants and 44 builds in the line up, so this one's definitely going to be a blast!

Jay: A K-4 sure would be interesting. What do you think of the Trumpeter kits compared to Hasegawa's big 109s?

Nathan: Some nice photos! Do you happen to have anything on Wilcke's G-2? I was only able to find one photo of it so far...

Zack: Sounds good. What scale is it?

Thanks, Joe. It's the 1/32 kit that came out earlier this year. From what I've heard, they are going to do a K-4 as well. That would sort of complete the line for them, although their F is really much closer to a G-2.

Dang Jay! That's a good looking build man! Is that the 24th scale or 32nd scale kit from Trumpeter? I used the stock "legs" on my 24th scale Trumpeter kit and almost wished I would have went with  a metal set. It's still holding up well but there's alot of weight on those plastic OOB legs.

And I see Zack's in with a 1/24th scale Trumpeter G-6 build. Another big build joins the ranks! Cool! Yes

I like the idea of yellow 12 better. Black and white pics are just a brain teaser.

I would say its easy to eliminate red as being a possibility.

That's a beauty, Jay. Really like your camo/mottling/exterior. Great work.

The Hungarian markings were a mystery to me too, 'til Nathan straightened me out.

Thanks guys. The profile I was working from initially was from MMP and showed it as blue 12. In Brett Green's book on late war camo he refers to it as red 12. However, I was steered to a great reference with a very detailed account of this plane, and it says yellow 12. The book is from JaPo and is "Luftwaffe Over Czech Territory-1945 Part II, Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10/U4 Production & Operational Service". Fantastic book for anyone interested in late war 109 camo. Also, the Montex set I used said yellow 12.

Nice looking Hungarian machine. I've read some folks think it might be blue 12?

Finished this one last night so the bench is clear for the start. This is the new Trumpy G-10. A little more expensive than the RoG G-10, but easier to build and not the Erla version, so we need both. Used some AM stuff. Eagle Parts spinner and battery box, G-Factor gear legs, and BarracudaCast wheels.

Haha. No kidding. Is it midnight local time or midnight 0000GMT, "ZULU" time as our reference? Now, we're really splitting hairs! Then we'll all start at the same time..that is...except those of us who have to work on New Years Eve. Crying

Handi... Welcome! You and Herman never fail to do great builds!

Zack...As was mentioned earlier, the new RMX G-6 and 10 are very nice kits and affordable to boot. Otaki, Arii, Fujimi, all make affordable kits but would need some PE for the office, all nicely detailed and engineered but sadly lacking in the pit area. I like the older Matchbox kits and as always, the Hasagawa line usually pleases. Welcome aboard!

Of course you can still join. This GB hasn't even started yet, so there's plenty of time left.

There are lots of 109 kits out there, with prices ranging from relatively cheap to really expensive. Is there anything particular you have in mind? (scale, version, pilot/unit/nation)

Suggest what? A kit? Markings?  Otaki 109G (ebay) is a great little kit.  Hasegawa, Zvezda, Eduard also make great 109's  Revell's new 109G6 & 109G10 in 1/32 are real nice as well if not a bit over engineered...  Pro Modeler 109G10 (1/72) is another choice. You'll need to fine one on eBay.

Seasons's greetings to everyone.

If it is OK to join this GB still, could you please help me out with a Me109 suggestion
