My poor, neglected X-Wing! Crying  Sorry for dropping off, the problem at this stage of the build is that there are a metric ton(ne) of decals, and it's frankly been pretty tough for me to get motivated to sit down and do them. I did make quite a bit of progress tonight though. I just have to finish decaling and do a wash to bring out the panel lines.

Well, no promises, but i hope to finish my Sci-fi GB build this weekend, then I can start on Chewie and C3PO. Looking forward to adding to this GB.

WOW, didn't realise it had been that long since any posts. Thought I better bump this up. I hope to be starting on my first build soon.

Thanks guys. I haven't done any weathering at all yet to the tiles. So that will had more variation to the grays. Thanks for your input!

I'll second Rob there. And who is to say what the right colours were. I read so much about studio models being one colour, the on screen model being something else. I really like the colour you have and it contrasts nicely against the Falcon.

I think, Senormod that you have a great contrast between the DS and the Falcon. Who can definitively say 'what colour is the DS??'. That's like saying 'what colour is a planet?'. There's probably so many colours of grey in there that it all  blends into one 'grey' colour. IMO, if you have a nice mix of high/low lights and shaded areas, you got it.

Not much of an update but here's where I'm at with the falcon. I have a question for the group. I'm trying to get the base color of the Death Star tiles just right. Do you think they're the right shade of grey? Too blue? Too white?

Thanks!

I used a plastic cap nut. I just cut the dome part off from the threaded hex half.

It might be tedious nate, but it looks great. What did you use for the shell.

Good grief this is probably the most tedious thing I have ever tried...

Well, Here's my first (minus paint) completed Buzz Droid:

Awesome - when I remember my photo hosting site's password I will upload a photo of the box art.

The model is out in the garage drying from a shot of primer

If it's not too late to join, I'd like to jump on board with the rebellion with a MPC X-Wing fighter

I found an older ROTJ kit opened but appears complete.

Spent this last weekend at the KC Planet Comicon, it was a lot of fun.

Here's a little update: I've been working on my little army of Buzz Droids. I'm hoping that by this time tomorrow I might actually have one at least fully assembled.

Thank you sir!

You know I asked the same thing!  No landing gear to speak of and no stand!  Huh?  Will have to try and fabricate one to be able to put it on the shelf.

Nice little build there Eagle, you seem to have done a nice touch up job there. Does that kit come with any sort of stand.

WOW!  There is some seriously great work here!  I'm embarrassed to put the ARC pics up.  Great work everyone!

I know, a very pathetic attempt at a "space" background.  My apologies for that.

Your descretion Bish on which pic you'd like to use.  And a big thank you sir for hosting a great GB!  You rock my friend!
