Crown: Bring it!
The shifter was alot of fun. First off I started with a straight pin with a black ball head on it and painted a white dot in the middle of the ball:
Then I painted two black dots in the white dot--One on top of the other--and then painted a white dot in the middel of each black dot, applied some Tamiya Smoke color to the shifter lever to darken the metal up a little and put a drop of clear on the shifter ball:
and then cut the original shifter lever off of this shifter boot from an AMT 88 Mustang GT kit that I had and then drilled a hole in the boot and inserted the shifter lever. A coat of dark gray and then some black pastel ground up and dry brushed on the shifter boot gave it that dull, leathery look.
