Why I didn't catch that I'll never know Dan. Maybe it's because my focus was on the overall job and not zeroing in on the finer details. Great catch before you went too far and beautiful save!!! Wow man..............that was close!!!!

I was able to reapply the correctly spelled Chrysler decal back on and clear coated. Working on the little details before I glue it all together. I've installed the ceiling lights that came with the kit. More to come soon.

Luckily for me easy on and easy off with the missed spelled decal. Waiting for the ink to dry on the newly reprinted decal with Chrysler spelled correctly and double checked.

Dan: That is some really good work with those decals buddy. It's fun to watch a build like this take form, especially with all those decals going on. Give's it quite the personality........and a good one at that!

I have a small lupdate on the 312T3 engin. Added some of the ignition/electronic detail - with the wires obviously stil not placed. Next up will be start of the transmission.

No progress on the Nissan. I have lost a friend and mentor recently, the guy that taught me what I know about 43rd and made me fall in love with the scale. I simply could not yet touch the kit in that scale again.

Today I added the front and back decals and I also did some wood working on the inside of the trailer. I used printed paper for the wood.

Well for designing decals the best software is CorelDRAW!. Now the newest version costs a small fortune, but getting an older version like 9.0 is a viable options - I run one on my Windows 7 computer. If you stay with Word it's good to turn the rulers (or how does Word call 'em) on and while formatting the size of an object typing the measurements in directly - that works quite good in Word. In my previous work we didn't have any dedicated graphics software and still I was able to make front panel designs for simple electronic devices with Word - with all the holes fitting the hardware!

Thanks Pawel, the hardest part was getting them the right size using MS Word to cteat them. I'm sure there is better software to use but that's all I had to use. But being able to create what I wanted was nice.

have built 1 of my favorite classic Chevys, the 56. I like the 56 above them all, next would be the 58 Impala S/S. Beautiful, beautiful old ride...Well done!

Ok I'm getting closer I've placed the decals on one side and just had to do a trial set up to see how it's all coming together. I'm going to have to work on the edges of the decal by the doors it's rolling up on me. 

So far the first decals are coming along with out to much problems I've got 2 of them that I have to reprint because it looks like the decal film was to thin is a couple places. Here's the finished decals for the cab. I have to wait for the ink to dry on the rest of the decals before in can apply them. 

Finally finished sizing decals so they are the right size and every thing lines up too. Started printing on the decal film I'm trying a different brand of decal film so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it work out. Here's what the paper samples look like all lined up.

I've been steadily plugin away at the Super Bee and sprayed the clear on it today. I hope to finish this one up and jump back on the Road Runner this weekend.

Haha, ironically I was planning on bumping it up with quick update. Been out of town and then ill so very little happenned.

Also the initial version of the engine block of the 312T3 - 20th.

Gotta bump this one up one or two notches.

I hope that everybody had a great weekend. We celebrated our son Joseph's 13th birthday on Friday AND Saturday and of course , Mother's Day today. What a busy weekend. I didn't get Jack Crap done on any build this weekend but will kick it into high gear this week. Looking forward to all you guys continued building. With that.............let's rock and roll shall we?

After a couple try's I've got my decal file to print out the correct size that I'm looking for. Also painted the white and blue now is just to print the decal paper and apply them. 

Man that's some purdy woodwork you've got going on with that trailer Dan. She's gonna look great!!

I've been working on the out side trailer prints for the decals. I'm close to what was on the truck and I think it's going to be what I end up using. I still need to make the othe side and front and back. I used the steel powder for the ceiling and where the exposed areas are on the inside. The plywood sheets will be cut and trimmed when I'm ready to glue them in. Going to wait until I have the out side painted. I will be working on the doors next before I start painting the out side. The out side decals have been my biggest challenge so far on this build. Here's a mock up of what the inside is shaping up to look like.

Finished up on another model, so little progress. Did get the red on, pic below. Some of those little dips can't be smoothed out - and some are only visible when enlarged on the photo's! Nothing cleaned up yet, just shot, dried and snapped, so some polish may help. 2nd layer of red, so hoping that it's the final layer. I have a hectic work week ahead, so don't expect too much from my sde during next week! 

Also decided what I'll do next in parallel - it will be the 20th scal Ferrari 312T3 with transparent cowl. Will obviously be the Gilles Villeneuve version! But presuming I'll only start on that next weekend.
