Now that would be a nice addition. I do like AM kits and would make a change to see a British one.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
On the bench: Airfix 1/72nd Harrier GR.3/Fujimi 1/72nd Ju 87D-3
Thanks Bish! Will do!!!
BTW: I did order this from HLJ, I'm just waiting for them to get it in stock. Who knows, I might add it as a second build. But first considering my lack of getting GBs done I want to concentrate on the Comet.

That look fine to me G, go for it.
Happy New Year guys!!!
After looking at the kit I didn't do THAT much. It's up to you Bish if it's kosher or not:
Welcome aboard Ziggy, got you on the roster.
Happy New Year Everyone!
Bish, I would like to join in on the fun. I would like to build the Revell 1/72 scale De Havilland D.H. 2.

Happy New Year Bish! I've got a British Saladin somewhere waiting to be built.

I'll get cracking on the Sioux. I was curious about the Atkins reference in the Kipling poem. A quick google answered my question and more. Now I know where tommy came from!
The Tommy of the poem is Tommy Atkins, a generic slang name for a common British soldier. A term of uncertain origin, the name "Thomas Atkins" was used in nineteenth century War Office manuals as a placeholder name to demonstrate how forms should be filled out.[4][5] In popular use, "Thomas" became the more familiar "Tommy".
Thanks,
John
Well, wait no longer. Its now midnight, my time, so firstly, happy new year to all. And second, i am going to kick this off with some poetry.
Just sitting here chomping at the bit, waiting for the new year to start:
No, that sounds ok G, if you can, post a couple of pics of how it looks now. And you will have time to do another
Bish, I dug the Comet out of the stash and popped the box open last night. And whoops, I forgot that I'd gotten a good bit done with the kit. Not sure why I didn't finish it but the kit's about 1/3rd built.
I did find a set of PE parts I didn't remember ordering for the kit. Some has been added. I probably got irritated by all the PE and shelfed it.
If that's too much work done I'll find something else. I do have plenty of British military subjects
Glad to have you on board Robert.

On The Bench: Coming Soon
Hello Bish,
I have not been present lately due to work and remodeling the homestead. I am definitely in for this one. Below is my entry. It will be the tail end of January before I get started.
So sorry I missed this one Bish....my apologies to you and the Queen!
I would love to be added to the list. Not sure what kit yet (still moving in to the new place and all), but it will be something WWII. Armour or a glider maybe.
That looks rather nice, going to enjoy seeing that built.
Here is the DML PIAT:
As-found condition after exhumation from the stash:
Pieces parts. Parts is parts:
Goody bag contents:
And an Enfield rifle:
Not really interested in the Enfield. It will probably go back into the stash.
“Ya ya ya, unicorn papoi!”
Thanks G, be nice to see it. I did look on scalemates and found that and some other 1/6th weapons.
Bish Real, i have not come across that PIAT kit, that should be interesting.
Real, i have not come across that PIAT kit, that should be interesting.
Bish,
The PIAT was from DML's line of assembly kits that I believe were based on pre-finished accessories that came with their 1/6 scale soldier figures. It is quite rough, but it has a fabric sling and metal buckles. I'll exhume it from the stash and post photos.
Got you down John, good to see a couple of helo's here.
I'm in with the 1/48 Italeri Bell OH-13 - as a Westland Sioux AH1
Front page updated guys. Some very nice looking subjects already. Real, i have not come across that PIAT kit, that should be interesting.
Yep Bish,
Put me down with the Acadeny 1/72 AgustsWestland Apache, you know the one.
Steve
Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

I am seriously tempted - will 2020 be the year I actually finish a GB model? Maybe. My modeling buddies tease me that I have too many "British-British-British kits", so I have lots to choose from.
Oh what the heck, put me down for a DML 1/6 PIAT launcher. It's weird enough, has been on my "to-do" pile forever, and I enjoyed playing the video game at Bovington!
And maybe down the line I can let a 1/6 Star Wars Sandtrooper use it...
Glad to have you all on board.
I'm in, with a Tamiya 1/35 scale LRDG Truck.
I may overextend myself with all these GB's but I'll go down swinging. Put me in with a 1/35 Tamiya Challenger 2.
