Heres a progress pic of my Tamiya P-51B. Have been out of action for a while due to an eye infection, but it's healed to where I can see well enough to do some modeling.

The NMF is Alclad2, the upper surface OD is ModelMaster enamel & the invasion stripes are Floquil Reefer White & Engine Black. Masking was done with Tamiya tape. It's ready for Future & decals, then final assembly & detailing. Barring any further setbacks, I might finish by the deadline, LOL.

Hi John.
As requested here is my contribution to the group build. I started on Juned 14, and was able to finish it off about a month later. For those of you who havn't visited the figures forum, this is S&T's 120 mm 101st Airborne trooper as he would have appeared on June 6th, 1944. Painted with Humbrol enamels and artist's oils. I photographed him outdoors, which would explain the deep shadows. The ground work was scratchbuilt out of plaster and driveway dirt.

I hope this will meet the group's approval. I would be happy to add the "badge" to my signature...if only someone would explain to me how to do that.

Well I got the shields on and the gun together. First bit I've done in about three weeks. At this pace, I'll be done by Christmas. I can't wait to get some paint on and cover up all this Censored [censored].

John; That sounds great. I didn't even order the figure until June 8, so that should pose no problem. Please add my name to the list and let me know if you need me to do anything else. Cheers.

If your figure has been started no earlier than June 6th 2004 Then I will be more than happy to add you to the list.

I posted something on the figures forum before stumbling across this group build thing. I've never been in a group build before, and this figure would fit right in. My earlier post is the 101st Airborne trooper, D-Day. How do I get this figure entered as part of the group build? Is the fact that it's already posted in one of the forum rooms enough? If not, I hope someone will add my name to the list of participants, and explain what I need to do.

Had to bring this back to the top. I have finished my panzer so I am ready to go back to the Waco.
Here are some progress pics taken awhile ago.

I made some serious mistakes with the sratchbuilding. It would hav been much easier to oaint the interior without the bars put in. Shoud have, built bars, paint ed them, paint interior and then put in the bars(frame). Oh well, got to learn sometime.

Well, well, well......I am so surprised at how good the SMER Piper L4H grasshopper is.
Have it nearly finished in just under 7 hours. The fit of the parts is excellant as I used very litttle to no filler on it. The only part that I had a bit of trouble with was the 4 piece canopy (top, 2 sides and wind screen) which had to be assembled. Looks like I am going to be done ahead of schedule.
3d modelling is an option a true mental excercise in frusrtation

Finally able to get some progress shots of mine...

Here's Priller's 190:

My first Luftwaffe scheme by airbrush... I've had enough trouble that I might actually go back to hand painting them Wink [;)]

And now to the Tempest:

I am getting ready to do the invasion stripes and then I'll mask them over and do the camo.

Thought I'd post some progress on my build. Here is the Tamiya 1/48 P-51B all painted in the gloss black undercoat and ready for the Alclad2 NMF.

After the Alclad2, I'll paint the upper surfaces of the wing, stabs & fuselage spine OD, then the dreaded Invasion stripes. Might actually finish this bird by the deadline[:0].

OMGShock [:O] The Finish Date is slowy creeping up on me. My production of the WACO stopped when I joined the Pv IV GB and bought a Pz IV. Then, I stopped that built a Kuble wagon for The Afrika Korps.

So I will continue with My production sometime later this week.
