My mistake here, I thought the GB deadline date was beginning of august , thats ok I will still post progress in here and the main room , I am going to take my time on this large scale fig , much more room for error here ! And because this is my first allied figure , time to do some research as well .Cool [8D]

You dont have to woory to much about the deadline guys, dont go and spend a lot of money on a model or figure, and just forgetabout it because the completion date has past.
Welcome back spector.

As for my glider, i painted the interior flat whit and the support bars field drab. all i have left is to simulate real wood and then i am done...with the interior.

still waiting on my italeri m4. should give my LHS a call again. If it doesn't get here within 2 weeks, I probably won't finish before the deadline.

If I may , I would like to join in once again , the miracle of miracles happened , and great models has scored me the kit I wanted to do to begin with ( ranger BAR gunner 1/9 scale ) it should be here in a week , it was supposedly OOP for a while , and I will do my best to get it done by the deadline ,( however at this price , almost 80 bucks ),I am going to take my time somewhat , for a better finished product! Cool [8D]

frosty as long as the glue adheres to both plastic and metal you can use it. the stuff i am using is elmers ultimate glue. sets up in about a half hour and cures in twentyfour hours.

Hi Guys, i have been somewhat quiet about this build, that is because i am having trouble geting reference for the particular horsa i want to model. the one i am after is the one that landed closest to the mouth of Pegasus bridge, the italeri kit has the markings for the second closest but they are inacurate. i have got an issue of aeroplane monthly with an arial photo of the scene and that shows the camo patern on the instructions is wrong, it also says that the chalk number on the nose is wrong. i'll keep you posted on progress.

Spitfire is coming ever so slowly closer to completion.
Had to cut the gun blisters that go on the wing in half and reverse them as ML 407 had the cannon on the outside, not the typical inside. Went ok, but hopefully the invasion stripes will hide any roughness.
Applied the Medium sea Grey tonight...this is goning to run close to the finishing date, but I'll get there!!

And while the paint is drying, I can paint the 1/48 Fujimi Cobra I have been playing with!
Yyippeeeeeee!!

progress pics. i am sorry but the operator of the camera is not very good.

i have about fourteen hours into this foiling now. i have about 80% of the upper surfaces covered. unfortunately some of the detail is covered and there are some stubborn wrinkles that just wont come out. but overall i am very impressed with what has occured.

John, masking & painting Aircraft canopies is one of the main reasons there are Armor modelers Smile [:)].

Right below the belt! Dead [xx(]Dead [xx(] But how did you know?

Don't worry Tigerman. The paint scheme I am planning for my entry to the plane build will probable change the concept about masking and armor modelers. If I pull it off.Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]
