lostagain that's looking good. Looks smooth in the pics ;-) Appears you just have the final assembly and detail to go. you better grab some coffee to make the final push to the finish now that you've got a real deadline lol

31 hours in, I spent most of the last 5 hours sanding back, priming and painting to get to here:

Better, but worth the time? not sure!

Anyway, going to bed now - and the better half tells me I have to finish in 44 hours 'cos we are going out - but no pressure...

Go Mongoose! looks pretty complex with all the PE there but it is dropping together neatly.

Hutch, There's always something that takes longer than you expect on these.

Mozzie has been a lot of fun....

First up, cut off teh nose ready for the fighter nose.

Photo doesn't do it justice - took a lot of liquid cement, superglue and 3 rounds of filling sanding

14 hours in. I had sanded the fuselage back last night and hit with Tamiya primer. Not bad, just a few touch ups done.

Off for Saturday morning bike ride

Wings in, loads of filling at the joins

22 hours in, primer on. Looks okay I think

26 hours. First silver coat, not bad not great. Need some sanding and repaints.

Well I think progress is on track for the night. Lots of little things done. This comes with a stand and i love in-flight aircraft so it's wheels up for me. Wait till you see how well this whole aircraft fits together.

 I laid some clay inside the nose wheel to make sure the doors were suported before hitting them with some CA

Check out how fine the points are on the intake

I left the fuselage on the sprue to hold some rigidity. Seemed to help while getting the 4 individual parts of each intake to line up

I missed your entry.  Is that the 1/72 Airfix Hawk?  It's looking good.

Congratulations on getting her done Tim! Congrats also for finding the missing headlight lens.  Hope it didn't break when you stepped on it.  I'll update the front page.  Look forward to the pics.

Calling it done.  Just enough time to get it nice and dirty.  Figures leave something to be desired but the 113 is finished.  Will post better pics. in the daylight.

Good Luck to those still building!  On a happier note, I found the missing headlight lens for the Yenko.  Kinda like stepping on a Lego brick.  More to come tomorrow.

Started today, 17.26 hrs GMT, parts laid out for inspection...

Seat harnesses made from foil

Cockpit tub and wings assembled - not as straightforward as I'd thought, will need some sanding & a very small amount of filler

Stopped for food (pizza!) for about half an hour, before assembling the wings, and called it a day at 20.30 - I've been at work since 07.30, enough's enough. Not a huge amount of progress, to be honest, but I think most of the fiddly stuff is out of the way - the seat harnesses took me longer than I thought they would.

I plan to clean up the wings, get the cockpit painted & the main assembly done by tomorrow noon, then mask the canopy parts & get some primer on.  More to follow tomorrow.

Caveman that is looking the part for sure. You're in the home stretch now!

lostagain that is a chore for sure. Anticipating a wip picture of the tail in a pan of near boiling water at some time lol Beat it into submission

I have started my build 1/48 Mosquito by Revell

It is a very old kit, and I bought it as second hand in a bag years ago.
Started 4:38 Friday arvo.

You can see the warp in this kit with the fuselage after decades in a bag

One hour in, basic painting done

Two hours in, struggling to get the wings together, they are resisting hard. And it's dinner time!

Some more progress made.  Interior is now installed and the hull is freshly painted.  Going to get some sleep while it drys.

Well I did it in 26 hours. 

That's a tough break with the paint, Lewbud, but credit to you for continuing with the 2 recoverable builds - a knock-down like that would have some throwing in the towel.  I look forward to seeing the survivors!

Lots of good work being done here, everybody, encouraging me to start my Hawk - hopefully this weekend.  Keep up the good work!

That X-15 is awesome. Fastest plane ever, yes? Super cool.

I like the Elefant, too. I loved those when I was a kid and had the old Italeri 1/35, but never really finished it.

Bufflehead - that's a nice little APC. Love the color work.

The Raiden is cool, too. Always thoughtthose were some of the sleekest-looking radial engined fighters.

Nice job on the Wildcat. Amazing what those planes accomplished early in the war in the hands of skilled pilots.

I think this is the first build I've lost to a problem with materials.  For me it's usually a time management failure.  This time it was both.
