now i see no need to inflame the situation but i do believe that with age comes maturity. and with that comes the knowlege that discretion is the better part of valor. of course that also means that with discretion comes the knowledge that patience is a virtue. and of course patience means that we older folk can wait a bit to take a shot at the younger generation.

hahahahaha

that's the problem with kids today... up all night, sleep all day... eating all these sugared cereals and watching those violent cartoons... oh wait.. that was me in the Navy hahaha...

I don't worry, the nurses don't come round my room no more... Wink [;)] I think I'll wheel myself out to the sun room and throw pennies out the window onto the cars parked below...

BTW: I've hit modellers block on the Kingfisher... I'm involved in 3 builds right now, a HH-65, F4U-1A, and the Kingfisher and I think the F4U is a fun build, the HH-65 I am doing for my dad... so the Kingfisher is lagging behind... I might pick up the old airbrush tomorrow and put the finishing bits of paint on it so I can future it monday and hopefully get some decals on it soon... it's about 75% done...

now, now sirs, lets not get too rambunctious here. otherwise, why we'll just have ta put you in bed early, and you'll miss your reruns of Buck Rogers at 7:00.... or we might just unplug your oxygen for a little while, til you calm yourselves down. Sleepy [|)]Sleepy [|)]Boohoo [BH]

Whistling [:-^]
Good idea Jules!

Well, just ordered $200 worth of paints and odd bits in preperation for the Bf109 I'm doing for this GB.[:0]

And the cool part, the missus was sitting right next to me watching!!!!!!!!!![:0][:0]
Did she say a word?
Nup!
Got a $1000 bonus from work this week for charging out a bucket of hours, so the missus let me splurge on 'pointless items', as she likes to call them.
Pointless pfffft, I see more point in paint than skin lotions!

Either way, the Bf 109G-14 will be underway in a fortnight, complete with PE and resin detail, and maybe a lil' sumtin special just to put them yung'ns back in their cotsEvil [}:)]

hey Jerry! welcome aboard! there's no "subject" per say... it's a little friendly competition between the Young Guns (pediatric modellers) and us... you pick the build and we'll show them little whippersnappers a thing or two about modelling!!! I think the deadline is Jan 1, someone correct me if I am wrong...

This is RustyFords group build, but I haven't seen him around in awhile...

Well, as I've posted before I have the opposite problem... the missus finds out I want something and she wont back down until I buy it... last weekend it was a 1/24 Spitfire, this weekend it is the Badger anthem airbrush... I just got the Badger 175 last month!!! I just casually mention "I wonder if the anthem is better" ... the next thing you know here she comes with a coupon for 40% off the set, telling me to put my shoes on we're going to the store... I finally stalled her until tomorrow and I hope she forgets about it... My friends wouldn't believe me that I had to sleep on the couch because we got into an argument about how much she spends... on ME!

It seems like that would be the ideal thing to have a wife like that... but we could have $2.00 to our name and she would still be saying "If you want it buy it!" Bless her heart, she wants to make me happy... sometimes I am just glad she doesn't know how to order from squadron... or that $2 bank balance might become a reality!

Got it in one tho9900.
Hard to add all the A/M bits without making your piece look like you emptied a bin into it.

I have been using A/M stuff for a while now, and the Bf 109 I'm doing for this build has all the extras.
When I'm done, I'll look at the left over stuff, and wonder why I spent an extra $100 on stuff I'll never useConfused [%-)]

So long as the missus dun't find out, I'm safeYeah!! [yeah]

yeah Jules, same here... it's fun to see how much it improves on the model and makes them more realistic... I've been playing with them a bit, I've yet to use a whole set though.. I'll find this piece is a little too thin to represent a certain lever, or too big to look "in scale" etc... I just go with what looks good without crowding the cockpit or looking like an afterthought...

Well gang I realize I have been quite quiet on this one but I have been working. As soon as I get the pics uploaded to my computer I will post them. I have been building the Pak 40 75MM anti Tank gun. It is assembled and painted. I haven't weathered it yet but that is next. then after that is done I am going to put it into a simple Dio. I figure that should impress those youngsters huh!!!!
