Old Guns Build. 30+ an older.... Lets show these Young bucks a thing or two!

tho9900 that looks great. for a kit you were going to pass by it is really looking like a winner.


as for me i have but little to show for about five hours of building today. i have got the canopy attached and am waiting for it to dry. it is masked, that broke it loose the first time. i also have the prop and the wheels painted and ready to attach. i am going to use wire to replicate the guns.

tweety: thanks! in looking through and researching a little I was amazed at some of the feats these things pulled off... in the Pacific the B-17 that was carrying Eddie Rickenbacker (of WWI fame)went down... a lone Kingfisher rescued 4 of the crew, putting the wounded in the gunner position and strapping the rest to the wing.. (including Eddie Rickenbacker) of course it was too heavy to fly so the pilot taxi'd 40+ miles, stopping to cool down every so often... until they got back to the fleet! Another OS2U pilot rescued something like 17 men in one day from a ship sinking... it goes on and on and on...

Joe: thanks! your build is progressing too! I guess we shoulda just sucked it up and kept modelling... I was seriously considering dropping this one and going for the AV-8B that is also in the build progress but decided I liked the OS2U so much I would stick with it... mainly because there are a few techniques I haven't tried yet and if I mess this one up int he progress no harm done! I can resort back to the AV-8B for this build...

Anyway thanks! it has a long way to go but it's getting there!

I forgot about this group build,so am I in or out on this one.If in I posted the Bishop SP on the armor forum and I am currently working on a Centurion for the Great Britton gb.

Well i've started the Spitfire Mk1,got the pit in and the fueselage halves joined........... i painted the interior green of the Spit along with a Mustang and a Hellcat all the same time to try and save some time................. I could do things with my Badger external mix that I still havent been able to pick back up on my Crescendo... As soon as I get the pics uploaded to my computer I will post them. I have been building the Pak 40 75MM anti Tank gun. It is assembled and painted. I haven't weathered it yet but that is next. then after that is done I am going to put it into a simple Dio. I figure that should impress those youngsters huh!!!!
