Jules, when you come to the nuthouse ask for a room away from Sean's... he snores real loud, had to ask three times to be moved myself, finally had to do something bad and get put in solitary just to get some sleep! Wink [;)]

The jury is still out on what I plan to do besides the AT-6, it looks to be a simple build so want to get something else in... hmmm will have to keep thinking..

For the Anzac build I might do another SBD (yes ANOTHER) in RNZAF clothes... gotta find the nose art decal of the stomach with a pint of beer in one hand and a champagne glass in the other first...

it's from 25 Sqn, RNZAF, March 1944...

Mike, the Eduards PE sets are fantastic!!!
There's are the ones I pick 9/10 times.
Made to fit the kits perfectly.
If anything, the only time you will have a problem is if the kit manufacturer has gone and changed something, without telling anyone.

Jules-That Sabre will make you an extremely resourceful modeller.
It's hell to build, but I have to admit, definately worth the end result.
And your right, wouldn't be an Aussie GB without one.

hey fellas... haven't posted here in awhile thought I would stop in an relax a bit.. caught the BoB flu and got totally in to that for a week or so... I am definitely doing an AT-6 with the roo in the roundels type thing... will do something else when I get time to research it. The wife's been in a bit of a tizzy last few days about getting out of the house (even though relaxing is all I had in mind) so took her to the local chinese place and fed her till she collapsed so got a bit of modeling in anyway today!

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say I haven't forgotten about this!!!

I've got some pics of the Bell with Aussie markings on it, and adf serials.com has some info as well, but I can't find anything which gives me an idea of the paint type, or tone.
Might just spray it with the standard US O/D.

Ok, just checked the rules again, and realised the Bell 47 I'm doing some had and didnt have Aussie markings.
So, unless I can find some Aussie roundels to suit a 1/35 scale Helo, it will just be stencilled with Army on the fuel tanks.

Also debating as to whether to put the red cross on it.

Which paint, Tamiya or Gunze Acrylic, best suits the colour Australian military craft wear?
This helo is predominantly green, and olive drab is what is suggested, is this the right colour, os did we use something else?

Tks Darren and congratulations on the big four ohhhhh.Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Even when the house is child free (ie they've grown-up left home etc) SWMBO still finds things to be done but its not as difficult to find time during the day to get away for an hour or 2. Approve [^]Approve [^] Yesterday I spent 3 hours in the middle of the day masking up a body only to discover that the mudguard shape was wrong and I will have to apply filler to correct it so off comes the masking. Sad [:(]Sad [:(]

Sorry to talk about about models but I've also dusted off or more appropriately dug out the Percy/Grice Commodore kit and will commence preperation in the next few days.Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]Tongue [:P]

Thanks Jules!
Well, I am now 33, birthday was on the 5th.
It's a nice round number, might stick with it for a while.
I wasn't as lucky as Darren, I didn't even get a phone call from my folks.
And they live here!!!!!
Sign - Dots [#dots]
But I did get a present from my son.
The Aladdin DVD.
For some reason I really like that movie.

I go back to work on Monday, holidays are over, but at least I made a fare bit of headway into the BoB 109.
But just like you guys, I now have to resort to Vampire modelling.

Couple of hours here and there, but that will only be until I reitre, which will be next weekend, cause it's my turn to win lotto.

Thanks Jules and for the record it was my fortieth so now I am officially an old man Cool [8D]Cool [8D]

I am actually on holidays at the moment and I'm trying to make the most of the family time while its there. As soon as I go back to work and get into my routine (posting during the day when my boss isn't around), things will be back to normal.
You are also dead right in that modeling is for the night hours, if I go near the modeling room during daylight I'm dead meat. I feel like some sort of Vampire
Laugh [(-D]Laugh [(-D]

Oh yeah, I got a watch and a new briefcase from my wife and daughters.

Cheers

Tweety, first of all congrats on the 1000th post Thumbs Up [tup] and Happy Birthday Happy B-Day [bday].

I am a little confused because of the way the forum displays dates. Exactly when is/was your birthday? If it is today (the 6th) then that is just a little freaky because today is my birthday as well Big Smile [:D]

nicholma congrats to you as well on breaking the 1000 mark Thumbs Up [tup] well done mate. I'm still struggling to get to 500 at the moment.

Cheers
