Mike, I think the models should be based on military subjects that were used by either the Australian or New Zealand forces since WW1 as this was when the ANZAC was created.
Tweety, Im not sure what the New Zealanders used in the way of armour during WW2, but the aussies used Matildas, Grants, M3 Stuarts plus a few captured Italian tanks in the desert.

The Matilda's were altered here and are fairly different to those in the Tamiya Kit, especially the tracks. We used them mainly in the Pacific and after the war. The M3A5 Grant's, too were not as per the standard Tamiya Kit.

Are you limiting the Group Build to combat used? or just used by the Aussie or Kiwi armies? If you want to widen the scope to any vehicle used, you have a huge variety to choose from. Ie, for the Aussies alaone:
