maybe a little tuqouise fringe while you are at it... nothing tacky, just enough to accent it!

OK Tom i have absoulutely no idea what you mean when you say turqouise fringe do you mean a soft edged border inside the other borders
Anyway i added a red border inside the black one's before i read Tom's last post but i think it looks all black now so i might add two red borders with a white one in the middle.........
Edit :::
I just went back and did another border

Arghhh! I said to myself "NO MORE BUILDS UNTIL AFTER JUNE!" but I like the subject and I have a mustang kit I was saving to do as a Tuskegee plane someday. frosty's post in the AIRCRAFT forum and the open ended end date wore me down -plus she joined my flying boat build
..........so I'll do an Arii 1/48 P-51D as a Red Tail. Is there a Tuskegee decal sheet by anyone?

I got a bit of a lead about the Tuskegee Mitchells. They did use both the -H's and the -J's, according to the Winter '75 issue of the American Aviation Historical Society Journal. The article is the second of two parts. I'm gonna try and get ahold of the first part but the article did give some good reference books:
Tuskegee Airmen by Charles Francis, Bruce Humphries Pub. 1955
numerous magazine & newspaper articles
Histories of the 99th & 100th Fighter Squadrons AF & National Archives
Histories of the 616th & 617th Medium Bombardment Squadrons - AF & National Archives.
I just came from www.tuskegeeairmen.org If you have not been there, then you really should go! Got my pics of the Mitchells, can't make out the nose art yet! - Calvin

Frosty,
Seeing as how Thad is being kind enough to send me some Tuskegee decals I thought I had better let you know properly that I am in for the build and will be doing a Tamiya 1/ 48 P-51D.

Hey guys. I'm in for the build. I've got a Hasegawa B-25J that's been collecting dust. ;)

Well, these are pretty much the only pictures i've found for the 477th (if anyone else is doing a B-25)
(This patch is for the 618th Bomber Squadron)
Here's a good site.
