Tom Take care, barricade your doors with something heavy......

.......likes Kremps!Wink [;)]

The radio here was reporting 100 mile traffic jams on the main roads away from the coast, sounds pretty tough out there at the moment.

Best of luck to you Tom, I hope everything is OK.

I know it's late but I really have lost interest in that bloody Daimler Armoured Car again. I did start Hasegawa's F4F-4 about a month ago though, and will forge ahead with that in Operation Torch markings.
Actually, it was when I built the old Frog Wildcat in Torch markings back in the mid seventies that I first took a shine to Wildcats, so this is deja vu - sortof.
I'll post a progress pic shortly.
Cheers
Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Tom keep safe mate, and don't go near the windows!!!
I wouldn't be in your position for quids.
I was in Darwin last time a Cat 3 went past, scariest time of my life.

Ok, the 129 has been flat coated with my custom mix and now I just need to stick on the props and wheel covers, and a tad bit of weathering and she should be done.

Flat coat washed the sand camo out a bit, but then again I cant imagine that it was applied very heavy anyways.

Pics in the next couple of days I hopeBig Smile [:D]

Good to see your close to the finish line Tweets The 129 is one of my favourite A/C for some reason, probably because it looks so mean and destructive so i'm looking forward to seeing yours all doneThumbs Up [tup]

Looking forward to pics soon Sean.

The last of the paint work on the MS 406 is complete, I just need to add one more decal, then gloss coat before applying a sludge wash, then it's a matt coat followed by panel shading and weathering. I'll be so glad when this build is finished!Big Smile [:D]

I'll post some pics later in the week.

Folks, I am fine... my modeling room took a hit from a 70ft oak but looks to be ok though... pisser is the oak rolled off the roof and took my AC out. the heat index is 106 right now and we just got electricity about 45min ago... imagine no fan, no AC etc.. and THAT hot... Disapprove [V]

Just wanted to let you know I was ok and will catch up with you all after dark when the temp cools...

glad you're ok tom. actually up here it's starting to get quite cool and my mindset is definitely tilting towards "heating" mode instead of "air condtioning" mode.

Glad to hear you're safe Tom. Shame about the AC, but I suppose it could have been much worse. Hope everything gets back to normal for you real soon.

thanks all!!!

Rick - the way I look at it as the only person on my side of the street to recieve major damage is 6 inches to the right and it would have taken out my compressor and P-51 I am in the middle of....

It's good to see you're alright Tom.

And it's good to see that some of these builds are coming along. I haven't been around in this GB for a while, but I'm still looking forward to seeing some of the builds done. It seems so long ago that I finished my 109 for this build........ Has anyone finisehed their build lately? I'm too lazy to go filing through pages of Kremp talk........

Tom Good to hear you're OK.

I was watching reports from Houston last night, damage didn't look too bad, but lots of queues for fuel and no power.

Hope it all sorts itself out soon.

Is Kremps going to move the oak? Another one of her wittling projects perhaps?

Rick & Jules I'll be glad to see the back of this one, seems like it's gone on forever, mostly due to my own ham fistedness, what with dropping it at least twice! I'll post pics later this week, once I've got that last decal in place.

:::Progress Report:::
No I'm not kidding I have finally made some progress on this build. Tonight I finished most of the construction on the Kubel, now it's just a couple of bits and pieces to go on that. I masked up the last of the 109 and tomorrow it goes into the paint shop, yippee Smile [:)]. I haven't started the figures yet (shudder) I'm saving them till last Sad [:(].

Pingy thanks for reminding me that it was soooo long ago that you finished your 109 Tongue [:P]

Howdy Folks,
Tom - when you said that your AC had been hit, I thought it was an aircraft, that would've been really bad.
Anyway, heres my Wildcat, soon to be in Torch markings. It's the Hasegawa thing in 1/72, with very few modifications apart from addition of seat belts and interior bulkheads to prevent the see through effect. THe next photo wil lshow some paintwork.
Cheers

Well, the 129 is assembled, flat coated, and tomorrow night it shall get a light weathering!!

Directly after that I'' take some happy snaps and post them!!!!!

Thankfully I'll finish before time, unfortunately I'll be away from my model bench for around a monthSad [:(]Boohoo [BH] due to the move, and having to install an extraction duct for the spray booth.

At least I'll be able to post fro work!!!Party [party]Party [party]

Well the Kubelwagen is assembled and is waiting for a coat of Future. The 109 has had it's second basecoat of RLM 78 and is ready for the coat RLM 79 tomorrow night. I figure that if I work steadily on (only) these two kits I should be able to finish them off by the 15th. I'll try and put some pics soon to prove that they exist.

Sean good luck with your move.
