Way to go Comrade.  I'd suggest pastels rather than pure graphite for the exhaust stains.

Finito!

except for weathering and antenna wire. I might need some help with that. Does graphite make good exhaust stains?

all I say, is give me 4 hours straight uninterupted building time, and the su-27 will be completely finished. However, school and sports see to it that this never ever happens. Warm weather would also be helpful...

My su-27 is now mostly flat coated. I haven't had time to finish the flat coat. Once I manage to get 2 more airbrushing sessions in, the thing will be done.

Tanky! dont leave me behind! Im actually working on the build! look!

..err...it needs work. Expecially here, look:

I stripped half the paint off the bottom, which is a problem. Plus, Now i find out I forgot to put the under-wing machine guns on. And I tried to put the landing gear in on monday...the glue still isnt dry. I guess it doesnt help when i lose the piece that the landing gear is supposed to fit into. I seem to be allergic to aircraft builds.

Ok guys, here are the better pics of my second entry for this GB.  I used metalizer paints, and found that when I wanted to mask off panels, as long as I stuck the sctoch tape to the back of my hand a few times it wouldn't lift any paint!!

Hope that you like!!

All comments are welcome.

Thanks for looking!!!

Matt

Don't give up Tanky.  You can always post pics when you get it finished, regardless of arbitrary dates.

Here is a sneak peek of my Mig-21, its about 80% complete, still need to dirty it up a bit and add the final gloss coat!!  Good little kit, goes together easily, only a little putty needed if you take your time.

I tried a bit different approach to the NMF painting on this one, and I'm not sure that I like it too much.  I used a primer coat of tamiya sky grey and found that while the testors Metalizer paint becomes more durable, it is a bit harder to buff up to an acceptible level of shine.

here are a couple of pics:

ahould be no problem to finish by monday night!!!!Big Smile [:D]

Rick,
Man I'm tryin' but there are only so many hours in the day!!!! Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

I think that my biggest problem (other than real life getting in the way) is that I buy the kits much faster than I can build them and right now am trying to build the following:
1/72 Mig-21F-13
1/72 F/A - 18 E
1/72 F/A - 18 F
1/72 Su-27B
1/48 Ka-50 Hokum
1/48 UH-60A (converting it to a Medevac bird)
and I still have to start my build for the superdetail GB
1/48 P-51D with the Aries detail set.

Guess that I just dont know when to quit!!!

Big Smile [:D]

Anyway, Tanky - thanks for the extension, hopefully I'll get to squeeze some modeling in this weekend!!!

Time's running out you say? Well I'm God around these parts so I'll create some more time if I need to! Big Smile [:D] I'll try my best to finish by the current end date though. If I don't I will post pictures of how far I've gotten though.

Whistling [:-^]  I for one just realized that it is now the ninth and I have yet to shoot the future on my Mig-21, much less get her standing on her own feet, so I would be more than happy to have a few more days to finish this one up!!
