Hi Everyone,
My build for this one has stalled. I completely stuffed the canopy parts a while back, got too close with a hot knife. Now that was sloppy. Can't seem to get replacements for love nor money, although Dragoncare promised them some time back. It's a pity cause I can't really progress now until I get them. Anyway, for what it's worth, has anyone got a spare canopy sprue from the Dragon 1/72 Mig 15 or Jian JiI-5 ?
Cheers
Tony

I'm just taking it one GB at a time.

Here's my Floggers with some paint. The top one is the MiG-23 in all-over light gray. The bottom is the MiG-27 which has its undersides done in duck egg blue.

Awesome. Truly awesome!

That's a good camoflauge scheme in itself!

Heres mine:

as you can see the decaks are far from decent. they seem to be pieces of paper with pigments and a bit of spittle on the back.

your 21 turned out very nice. Glad to see that you were able to clean off the smudge that was around the stars in your earlier posts!!

It's a 1/32 Trumpeter kit (can't be bothered with 1/48's too difficult and too small for so much detail ) ,
the stuff round the decals i dont know what happened there i used humbrol decal set ,
when i went over with micro-sol that happened good thing is it faded the decal
bad thing did the same to the silver paint ,
but i sorted it out with a little dry brushing Big Smile [:D]

Looks like you are making some good progress on your 21. The cockpit looks very good, that is always my favorite part of the aircraft, so I always take a close look at it. Nice job overall. I have only one question though, what is the white stuff around your decals?

Overall though good Job and keep us posted!! Smile [:)] Thumbs Up [tup]

Good looking Mig-15 Tony, keep us posted on your progress.

I have gotten the main tyres painted now, just have to paint the hubs, weather them a bit and then throw them at the bird. At this rate I'll finish this kit sometime around January, It's a pretty easy kit to build but I just have not had the time to sit down and finish it.

I've just put Future on the canopies prior to masking and installing them before painting. Other than that I've just been cleaning up seams and the like.

OK I did some detail painting on the cockpit, and added some more PE. I hope to finish the cockpit and close the top and bottom fuselage halves tomorrow. But there is some spray work and additional PE work required first.

Great Tanky... So where's the pics ?

I'm actually getting back to the Mig 21, trying to fit the Aires cockpit in the Academy fuselage. Doesn't look impossible, but I sure wish Aires would at least give a guy some hints. Absolutely no instructions came with this set Sad [:(].
