Wow Wow WowBlush [:I]

Ashamed [*^_^*]

First, "Da Daa"Shock [:O], I am back!

Second, the flu did not kill me... (Real influenza instead of that el-cheapo $2 cold version for a change)

Now to more serious matters, my old PC is SHIT!!!  I have not been able to load FSM pages on the ol' greasetrap... and my latest drama-rama-ding-dong is this new site, and re-registration required...

Why was that not HIGHLIGHTED exclusively for my benefit in the newsletter I read ? LOL

Simon: Congrats on the award. I am sure you will never see me sidling up beside you with an offering...Banged Head [banghead]

cobrahistorian: Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Hope you enjoy our endless build of stringbags and the like Big Smile [:D]  ...and by the way, all the best with your venturing into rigging-land...  another 'non-excell' for me Disapprove [V]

sarge: I hope that I have not missed your departure, and that I have the opportunity to resonate frostys words to you, that 'the group build is for a total of 18mths, ending Jan 2007' (I think! LOL)
If you are fortunate enough in time, and we are priveledged enough, you will return to show us your build. Thumbs Up [tup]

Everyone else: (what an awful title) As I have been absent for quite some time, I am not here to dissappoint, I have offerings and word from the lands down under!
CONGRATULATIONS to all those that have finished builds.
Not a lemon to be seen. Big Smile [:D]
KEEP IT UP to those that are still in construction.

As for me,  I have completed (excluding touchups and rigging) an old Airfix Avro 504K kit.
I am mid-stream on a decision if I will further customise it to be 'MINE'.
(Once I post pics you will see that I do not have an 'factory-fit' paint scheme.  50 degreeC New Years Day pretty much evaporated our almost empty paints...

(ANOTHER F'n trip to the LHSBanged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead]Banged Head [banghead])
(Have I mentioned I hate HobbyCo?)

I am almost finished a Bristol F.2B.  Base paint and construction are done, just some modifications, touchups, decaling, and rigging to go... Wink [;)]

My Albatros needs some more paint and decals, (and the procrastinated, semi-permanently postponed rigging)

On an unrelated subject matter, for those of you that heard my heart shatter like porcelein after a short unplanned flight of another of my bi-planes to the floor, I have repaired my Shagbat !!! Yeah!! [yeah]Yeah!! [yeah]Yeah!! [yeah]
And by the way frosty, I am a show'er no more! I build 'em, and then they live their lives out undisturbed, bar the occassional 5cm lift to clean beneath.  I have learnt my lesson... I hope...Censored [censored]

I will have some pics to share when I have ...ah-hermmm... finished moving all my software, files etc from the 'gateway suck-bucket' to the 'yea-beaut custom-built machine'.

Finally,
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL AND I WISH YOU A 'KIT'PROSPEROUS COMING 12 MONTHS...

Fine by me 1/72builder. This build runs till the end of '06.

Sorry I haven't been here for a while but I don't find the new format very user friendly. I'm only on dial up and that might not help but I prefer the previous format.

Not the Gotha I'm afraid but my take on Eduard's DRI. Hope you like

On the subject of the Gotha I can confirm that the lozenge decals are pretty much unusable (in my hands anyway). They do come off  the backing paper OK  and can be positioned on the model but will not settle down even with Mr Softer and multiple heavy applications. Once dry they are also very brittle. So off they have come and I will resort to the painted pale blue finish also detailed in the instructions as an option. Assembly is underway and I have obtained the Part photoetch enhancement set. I won't use all of this just those pieces that will give good enhancement and are readily visible. I won't be using the multiple rigging attachments for example or some of the interior pieces. The propellor guards and radiator pieces are must use pieces. Hopefully pics soon. Everything has gone quiet in here - I hope all your builds are progressing as you would like.

Regards Simon
