The only question I'm facing is, should I keep with my original plans to build a BMP-3 or switch back to one of my favorites and build a MH-60L with gobs of detail? With the absence of a helicopter in this group build, I'm probably going to go with that. Lets see... MH-60L aftermarket would include: 2 sets of photo-etch, 4 resin sets, and 1 set of aftermarket decals. That's quite a bit more detail than the 2 sets of photo-etch for the BMP-3, not to mention all the scratchbuilding I want to do. Sounds like I just convinced myself. Blush [:I]Dunce [D)]

Put me down for the MH-60L instead of the BMP-3. I've just ordered the resin sets today and I'll be getting the rest of the stuff in November. Can't wait to get started.

Hello Tankmaster,

Thanks for adding me.

I posted what I was going to build earlier in the thread, but I'll do it again because I am the master of copy & paste.

1/32 Hasegawa Boeing F4B-4, will probably do a lot of scratchbuild detail on this. aftermarket items seem to be a bit scarce.

And no I'm not a red headed step child..

Have a great day,
Cheers,
Thom

Tankmaster, this is what I'm building:

Academy MH-60L with Cobra Company MH-60L Conversion, UH-60L Correction Set, and a Black Hawk Weapons Kit; Eduard Accessories UH-60L Black Hawk Interior and Exterior Detail Sets and UH-1 Weapons Detail Set; Dragon Models U.S. Helicopter Crew, Vietnam (modified to current standards) and other scratchbuilt details.

I think that's everything I'm putting into my helicopter.Approve [^]
By the way, all my Cobra Company sets got here today.Party [party] Now I just have to buy the rest and the kit itself!Blush [:I]

I'll repost what I am doing too. (I just noticed my name made it to the list, but not my planned build).

I will be doing a Tamiya corsair with various parts from the Aires cockpit and Verlinden update sets, True Detail wheels, waldron placards, maybe a squadron canopy, and various scratch building, etc.

I'm very excited for the build, but keep seeing all these great looking group builds and committing, committing, committing. I hope I haven't overdone it.

Oh NOW I find this thread! I recently started a 1/48 Hasegawa P-51D "Jumpin'Jaques". My goal with this kit was to add as much detailing as I could using as little detail sets as I can get away with (read LOTS of scratchbuilding).

Ah well, serves me right for not checking this forum often enough. :)

gah, ready anytime since all i am missing now is the verlinden engine set for the DML T34/85.  got a lionroar set of PE including the fenders and fuel tanks, eduard PE set and barrel, verlinden interior.  and i already have grown a fear to work with tiny resin stuff...

Sounds very tempting. I might have to join up with a Dragon Nato MLRS. I have plans to scratchbuild the cab interior as the kit is pretty basic there, and do a lot of external scratchbuilt stuff and add much more detail to do a more recent British vehicle.

Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]

So who else besides me is drooling with anticipation for the approaching start date??!!!  I have definitly been running through this build already in my head ( hope that doesnt constitute starting early), but will probably refrain from diving headlong into the chaos until somewhere around Christmas.Evil [}:)]Big Smile [:D]  Although the temtation will be far too much to endure I am sure!!!!

Still lookin forward to this one too, but I've decided to switch to a Tamiya JagdPanther with Voyager PE, Friul tracks, Jaguar interior, and a Jordi Rubio aluminum barrel.  Managed to get all of it on sale and hopefully it'll all be here in a week or so.

Eagerly awaiting, but probably won't be able to start till mid-December.  Gotta get a couple of other projects done first, namely the FW-190.

GO-GO-GO! Wink [;)]

I'll just be following you guys on this one - looking forward to seeing the progress. Will unfortunately not join as I am allready busy with 3 builds, all of which are in early days. With the amount of work I have (not) done on a Studio 27 Renault R25 (part of the F1 GB), it could almost fall in here. But doing the same kit for two GB's is not n the spirit of it, anyways...

Do enjoy! I would have liked joining you guys with an auto inbetween all the rest! Black Eye [B)]
