ok got a little more for you, complete with one not so great pic of the tail hook... it looks to have the same basic lines as the ones on the other carrier planes such as the SBD, also the A1-H has a similar tailhook.. looks like you could scratch it as most of it appears to be inside the plane with only the tip of the hook visible...

what appeared to be the curl of a tail hook appears to actually be a fixture on the bulkhead of that structure behind the Mustang...
