Battle of the Atlantic Feb. 1 to Aug 1, 2006

That is a great a/c.  I just ordered a beaufighter kit off the net the other day and am looking forward to building it.

Dave, I've had a big think over the weekend and decided on my build.  It's the TFX Beaufighter UB-E (pictured below) from 455 Sqdn RAAF which was attached to Coastal Command.

Btw if you look carefully at the photo you can clearly see three of the 60lb rockets that have just left their rails.

Matthew - I hadn't picked up on the recent posts thing until you said something but now that I noticed it I miss it too!  every so often I would go in and see what I have been posting to to see if there was a thread I needed to watch more closely....

I would like to join this GB....I'm probably going to build a revell/monogram 1/48 He-111.  I bought it at LHS about two weeks ago and it's going to be a big kit...not quite as big as a liberator but still quite a wingspan in 1/48. 

Apropos of nothing,  why doesn't the new forum allow us to see our most recent postings under our profile?  That was the way I kept track of all my threads.

Darn... the balls are gone!!!  I wonder if that was Kremps doing?  Doesn't want anything that will get us too excited now does she.

Whoops spoke too soon, now I don't see any balls/bubbles/light bulbs/dots/globes/ what ever they are.    I kinda liked them...

You know this new format for the forum is okay but I still miss some of the other stuff, like the quick reply, that was so nice...

When I think Kremps and balls, I think more of losing them than gaining them!

Seems like Joe kinda gave up on the congratulations/toasting posts some time ago.  It's been sporadic at best.  Had to be a lot of effort trying to keep track of 30,000 active members.

I decided IF I can get this GB in my build will be the S-100, not sure which boat I will model but I am sure pickings will be slim as there is only one set of AM decals I have seen for this kit...

David Voss has a post that explains the new post ranking system that he enabled from the new software.  I don't think it adds much to the Forum personally, but I don't object to it either.

BTW the sanding for the Boly is vvveeerrryyy slow.  I now have the starboard fuselage and wing done, I have the port stuff and the elevators still to do, then I have to scribe it all...It had better be worth it.

That is the "Superfly" cartoon character from joecartoon's website.  If you google joecartoon, you will find it, but if you are easily offended, don't go there.  I'm usually not easily offended but while funny some of it is rather crude.  I nearly died laughing with the Superfly cartoons though.  Browser beware...
