Waaahhh! I hate internet blockers!  Sorry termin8tor if don't comment.  The company I work for has blocked a bunch of sites (including photobucket) and I can't see your pic.  I'll try to get on at home later and check it out.

That goes for everyone else.  Please forgive me if I do not comment on your builds.  I am not being rude or pretentious.  I just can't view the pics until I get home and I usually don't go on the internet at home much.  When I get home after working on a computer 8+ hours a day, one of the last things I want to be doing is hopping on the computer for another couple hours.

Hey guys!

Dad and I went to work after we got home from the Air & Space Museum.

We used British Green and British Medium Sea Grey.  The hardest part was masking the stripes.  We have al ot of touch up to do yet.  We have to paint the propellor blades yet.  It is getting close to my favorite part.  Putting on the decals.

This time thing is a pandemic!  I have only opened the box on my Mustang.  Most of my time has been working with my son on his submission.  That has truly been fun.  He has really done better than 95% on his own.  We hope to have it finished before Sunday evening...will take a break for soccer and a trip to the Air/Space Center at Dulles tomorrow...time to load up on detail photos!

Speaking of which if anyone is looking for something specific let me know, the collection at Udvar Hazy is fantastic!

Well i guess you could say that i've made a start, all i've done is to study and then study the instuctions some more, excellent details in this eduard Sopwith Triplane and a bucketload of PE witch makes planning the build timeconsuming, but for now i may just make a start on the engine witch has a staggering amount of parts for such a small piece.....

I was looking over my Trumpeter 1/32 P-40B (Hawk IIA) and man, it's a really nice kit!  Has some photo etch, lots of detail, and rivets, rivets, rivets!  The engine is pretty much a kit in itself!  I hope to begin construction in another week or so, just as soon as I can wrap up 2 other projects I'm working on at the moment.

I've slowed down as well-- haven't even started Thatch's Wildcat yet!  I am soon to be finishing my Atlantic Build SBD and Carrier GB Hellcat-- and in the midst of all this, we spent the weekend painting the new house-- lots to be done before we move in in May-- so I may wait until then to start this one...

Now that the Dora's are off the bench I can start this one!  I'll have to see if I can fit some painting in this week.  If I can get the pit together next week I'll be able to show you something!Tongue [:P]

Darren I practice Mrs Bear managementBig Smile [:D] during the week I did a bunch her jobs (She to has a looong list) and left the outdors stuff for the weekend where lo and behold the weather folks were right for a change and it rained.  Since I was such a good BearWink [;)] she left me to my styrene and there was much rejoycing.

Cheers

Looking forward to seeing some pics of that Spitfire Bear, I must admit I've got a bit of a thing for Spits

Now for a question, how come Mrs Bear goes out and does the shopping but doesn't leave you with a list of mind numbing household jobs that's longer than your arm, because that's sure what happens in my house.  My only chance to model is after the entire tribe has gone to bed. Sad [:(]

Jay that's it your toast Wink [;)] enjoy all the fidly bits.

Yukky weather on saturday & my wife out shopping means only one thing play day for BearBig Smile [:D].  I started work on the Airfix MK Vb and the putty has been flowing.  The wing assy is done and I'm adding the PE (yes I'm toast to) bits to the interior fuselage I'm also trying to figure out how to build up the PE cockpit.  Eduards does not make a set for the Airfix kit so I'm using a set for the Tamiya Spit and adjusting.  I hope it comes out ok.  I'll post some pics this week.

Cheers

Scott, I just started with Resin a few models ago, so far just little stuff like wheels on one, seats on a couple others, radial engine on another, I have yet to try a cockpit set like the airies or such.  Remember that you must use superglue!  And washing the part is good to get rid of the mold release agents or else the paint doesn't adhere to the piece and looks funny.Smile [:)]

Ditto what Tryingtomodel said, I'm going to finish up my Wildcat for the carrier group build this week, and hope to begin R.T. Smith's P-40B this weekend.  This will be my first attempt at a resin cockpit, so looking forward to learning to work with resin.  Hopefully the learning curve isn't too steep!  Laugh [(-D]

I have broken the seal on the Tamiya Mustang.  Should start on the pit tonight.  I also checked out the Loon models fuselage.  Real nice quality, should be pretty interesting, never done a conversion before.

My son (Trmn8tor) is moving along quite nicely, we may be finsihed by the end of the week.

I'm just about through with my Wildcat for another GB.  I may go ahead and pull out the cockpit of my P-51 for this GB and start on it soon anyway, though.  When I get to the point of painting, I'm going to have a bunch of questions for you Alcad people.  I've never used it before so I'll need some help.  :)

Okay Doug, let me know and I add you to the front page.  I haven't had any chance to pull out the Spiifire myself, still trying to get the Doras off the bench.

Well, got my build done.  How the rest of y'all coming along ?

Just kidding, it being April Fools Day here Big Smile [:D].  The Stang was built for a GB on another Forum, but it is in Eagleston's markings.  I'm doing his P-47D for this GB & thought it would be interesting to have a model of both of his mounts.
