Well thank Grandad, the Crane has finished the work for me on this monster of a build. The final height was 6 1/2 inches tall but I hope that you all like it as always comments and questions are welcome. Kenny, thanks again for the GB gif. files

And again I hope that you all like it.

Well done on your build RC. That is a very sweet aircraft and a monster to boot. Good job.

I'm a bit new to this group build thing (just entered my first one yesterday)...I understand that this build is almost done - but I don't think it would take me that long to crank something out. As I was in Intel, I didn't drive/fly/ride anything - spent a lot of time listening to static with cans on...anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a kit of an army-issue swivel chair? hey dupes listening to static , reminds me of when we always got the new guys to go to supply and try to get a can of squelch or a box of grid squares. yes i once was one of those new guys lol.

what would you plan on building ?

Oh lordy...I almost forgot about the box of grid squares. I seem to remember trying to get some private to find a stack of ID-10T forms at Bn HQ one time though...

Ahhh, I doubt I could get anything done by the deadline - unless I built a 1/1 scale chair from Staples or something. I'd love to get in on the build, but I think I'll have to hold off until the next one.  Now that I know this build thing exists (see what happens when I look in the "other" forums?) I'll be sure to get in on the next one. And seriously, I didn't ride/drive/fly ANYTHING other than a deuce and a half. How lame an army career was that?

Try AFV for a duece and a half.

By the way I need 500 ft of flight line and a gallon of prop wash from supply.

RC, great build

Hey R-Cman,

That's a great build.

You weren't joking about needing a crane.

That is massive.

Good job.

We sent one of the new crew dogs over to shops to see if they had a left handed screwdriver, some pretwisted safety wire, and a calibration stamp for a crescent wrench.....he was not to happy. When I was a civilian I told my new guy that the pilot relief tube was a rudimentary intercom system so that we could talk to each other while we were doing bulkhead leak tests. Talk about really not happy.......some one spilled the beans about a month later. He filled my toolbox drawers with pink grease Enjoy fellas the builds are spectacular!   JOSH

Hey, if you guys really don't mind me getting in on this build late, i've got a 1/48 scale Academy F-16C I've been plugging away at for the last month or two that I sure hope is done before the end of the month. I never rode/drove/flew it, but I saw one once. Laugh [(-D]

Kenny, thanks for the badges, got them tonight.

Welcome again dupes. I have a Tamiya duce and a half and from what I see it's going to be a great kit.

We had this well endowed gal in our unit in Japan and being a newbie we sent her up to maintenance to get a maint manual, BA-1100-NS. Bless the poor gal she was sent from office to office with the note so everyone could get in on the joke.

The newbies on the carrier were always sent to get a couple of buckets of catapult steam.  ANd for the Photog's we always sent them for refocusing agent because they dropped the film.  Or 50 feet of gigline

Haaaaaahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....that is too funny. Let me see what I can do about taking some pictures of this here Falcon (and getting it done). What kit number is that deuce and a half of yours?

So, I fell for the old engineer test. This is where you are blindfolded and you have to cut a quarter with an axe. Trick was that they put your cover (hat, to the non marine types) on the ground and of course you chopped it up. Yep!!!  I fell for at least three chops before I caught on.

Dupes, I just checked the Tamiya duce and a half and it'a a WWll type. Very nice kit and it's number is 35218.

Just testing out my ability to actually post a photo from my brand new photobucket account...can someone tell me if this works?

Taking pictures of my stuff has made me look at my builds in a whole new light. Heh.

See ya clear and bright dupes. Welcome to the photo world. I've noticed that if I take photos of my build in progress it showes flaws that the eye cannot pick up. Can be a usefull tool.

Boy isn't that the truth. I'm going to have to start taking pictures of all my builds along the way from now on...maybe even have all of you guys take a look at them. Laugh [(-D]
