Hey kenny, I have not had much time on my hands with work and the folks visiting but things are slowing down now and I will look at my A-4 tomorrow and make a decision. If all goes well might get started soon. I am in the middle of other GB and now at the stage where I can do multiple projects.

I don't qualify for this GB, but I wanted to say great idea for a GB, and my gratitude to all of you. I look forward to seeing your meaningful builds.

Just finishing up one build (Italeri GB, 1/35 DUKW) and my Bunker Hill is staring at me...got the Hull Red yesterday, so I'll be starting it up soon.  Haven't decided how much "extra" work I'm going to do on it, because after 3 years on that beast, I know pretty much every nook and cranny of her...

Count me in.  Sign me up for a F-14A from VF-111 Sundowners.  I was a Photographers mate that worked the TARPS.  Might have to scratch build a Tarps Pod though.

Count me in!

Academy 1/48 F-16C - VTANG markings included in the kit. Nothing fancy, just a quick build pretty much out of the box. I plan on bringing it to the office when it's done so I don't think I want to spend too much effort on it because it's likely to get broken in the long run.

I was in the VTANG as a weapons loader from December 1986 until I retired in April of 2000. I definitely loaded the aircraft depicted in the kit's decals a time or two.

I was already planning on building this as soon as I finish one for the Airfix/Heller group build over on ARC so the timing on this is perfect! I'll post pictures of the kit and decals but it will be a week or two before I dig into it.

If it's not to late, I'd like to join. While not my primary MOS which was a Huey crewchief, I did get the chance to work on a few OH-58A's and even logged some time as a TO on them. I would like to build Italeri's OH-58A in 1/48th scale

Should be starting my Cat in a few days and will post progress pics.  Now if the decals arrive on time, we'll be in business

Edit:  Ok.  I'm going to build a F-14 D Super Cat because all the F-14A kits i've seen, i've heard bad things about or WAY outta my price range.  Would anyone have a problem if i still used my squadrons markings on  a D cat?

It is 1/72 scale.  That gives a 31" wingspan.  I have built several of the Monogram (now Revell) D models of the BUFF, but this is the first AMT and first G model.  My daughter was 5 weeks old when we took her to her first air show at Beale AFB, CA.  They had a G model BUFF in NMF with Hound Dogs under the wings on display.  That was before the EVS turrets were added or the Phase VI tail mods, so that is the way I intend to complete this one.  I guess that early exposure to airplanes must have warped her brain a little.  She is now an electronics engineer working on the EA-18G for Boeing/St Louis.

Hey kenny_conklin

I would like to know if I may join in. I was a Phase Dock Jock on th E-3 Awacs at Tinker(Stinker) AFB. If I may join in I will do the Heller kit. You may check out my work by looking for my screen name in the arcives. I have been away for a while. At this time I do not have the net at home so I may be a few days posting at times. Thanks.

Is there anyway we can have a new thread for the in-progress pics?  I think it would be easier to sort through?
