Yeah, you guys are proceeding well and fast!
Mist, your Macchi starts to look like it. Keep trying those smoke rings: they are a pain but well worth.
I HATE PHOTOETCH! E'vry time the same thing: buy a model, buy the PE set that goes with it and curse like a don't-know-what when trying to fit those tiny levers and above all when they make a "tweezers-flip" right into the "carpet-monster's" mouth!Anyhow should start painting the office next weekend (bought the right color after all).
Since you want pics here you go:

Hey Mist, thats not bad at all for your first time. On top of that you picked one of the most difficult schemes to paint, that took a lot of guts. I bought the same kit a few weeks ago because I like that camo but I dont know if I am ready for it yet.
I have just begun my C-47 last weekend and working through getting the interior painted and work out. When it looks like something I will post some pics.

I got a little overspray in some areas and hard lines in others, but i can fix those i hink. Let me know what you guys think. I got the landing gears already to mount and then it's on to the little stuff.

Good Job for your first time! The best thing about a camo job is that NO TWO ARE EVER A LIKE! If you look at some close ups of camo jobs (exspceially those applied in the field), many of those painters had the same problem on the actual aircraft. I also like your color choices. Looks very much as I remember the 'sand & spinich' (British name for it) camo that they used.
Keep at the airbrush. You have a fine start to yet another skill in modeling.
that looks good for the first time cammo.
i've decided to buy an AM decal sheet, featuring *military marching music* Chilean Markings for a What-if Chilean Yak-3. but i'll have to wait till march to apply them, as i return from santiago the 28th feb.
It takes time and you will get the hang of it.
Looking good so for
Bud
PS. I also got a new camera. Now i can shoot GOOD pics
Hey Bud, I think it looks good from here. Nice wear marks on the foot rests and normal looking wear on the side of the cockpit. Looks good.

Lots of snow out there,
I measured my front yard this afternoon after another 4" of snow last night & this morning; I now have 32" under the crabapple tree (over 5 weeks). Eric, if you and your wife want to come out and practice some more snow art, just give me a call.....
Finally got to get back to some model building (snow, work, snow, work, sister's wedding, snow). Got the P-400 fuselage assembled and the main wings attached. I have about a 1/16 gap on the right wing root. Other than that, this Hasagaw kit it truely putting itself together. Just need the weather to cooperate so I can get set-up for airbrushing. I have two other kits waiting for painting besides this one.
Lots of snow out there, and sometimes builds get put off for other things. Wifey and I spent a bit of time making this together after our most recent snow fall.

well, just hit the paint shop last night
Well, how's it look? Personally, I think the Neut. Grey needs to be changed over to Gull Grey
and the pics themselves?
Looking Sweet Brian
