The sides are black & I need to redo the silver but, an idea was brought up on foiling this. What y'all think?

Here's another update, I have pre-shade my Intrepid with a sharpie/permanent marker. This is a technique with I already have used with mixed results but I am giving it another try.

The seam at the back was so bad that I lost a lot of raised detail with sanding, so I just replaced the whole with a piece of plastic card.

I using enamel paints from Humbrol (because I had those in stock)

The first painting session went bad, the paint was to old and formed lumps. The second session went better. As you can see, the shadow effect is starting to come but it will take a least one more painting session.

My spray booth is not so big, making the handeling a such a large model quiete difficult.

Hey joey, love the C mate.. Great work on it.. Your builds are top class!..

As for your comment on the sci-fi board. Dont worry, you havnt rubbed anyone up the wrong way at all.. I dont know why, but the sci-fi sections just seem to be dying a slow death.. We have alot of people who look in, but wont post. Its a shame, but that just seems to be it.. Usually they will only say something when something happens and then they usually pop out for one post to give their 2 cents..

Also it seems that alot of people are only interested in one subject, and unless you do something in that subject, then they wont join in.. Its a shame, because there are a few of us that can appreciate many different kinds of models..

So, did you get any presents with poems in them?

Cheers, Chris

He didn't mentioned it? It's a big event, the arival of Sinterklaas is a live TV event, the stores are flooded with Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet (black Pete, his helper) and traditional cookies and candy. As always, the Wiki has info on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas

I did get some nice gifts and poems but no models...Disapprove [V]
