Laugh [(-D]

Thanks for sharing that Dad moment  Laugh [(-D] I almost fell off of my chair laughing - it really made my day! So far I have managed to keep my little ones away from the workbench and the fragile stuff, but now I think I will recheck things.

hey eric great to see you thought you were lost havent had any bad jokes lately lol

as for the camera in water i know it would be bad and i wouldnt do it but a royal flogging would have crossed my mind if my little one did that. shame on the king .

i see some people want to be  punished with snickerdoodles . now how could a good king punish someone with what they want. off to the dungeons with creamed spinach for punishment i say :)

almost done with the hummer then onto two builds at once the cvn 65 and the 1/32 f-16 :)

Lord Kenny - I think history will support your royal whims of cruel and unusuall punishments.  And believe you me .... creamed spinach qualifies as cruel though maybe not that uncommon for punishing small underwater photographers Laugh [(-D]

hhey dave thanks for the link that is an awsome looking ship i would love to do something like that but that would be huge. i think i am just going to make a custom base alittle wider than the ship and display here most likely no weathering make her look brand new ready to set sail for the first time.

tg i wouldnt think many people would like creamed spinach (i do love it) but peanut butter and bologna yuck i guess that will have to be the punishment with prune juice :)

ahhhhh, those cherished memories of boy scouts... I still have fond memories(not) of this one camping trip to a scenic location that I'm sure was the secret headquarters for every mosquito in north america!

Seriously, I love watching everybodies builds go together.  Some of you are actually to the stage where it is recognizable.  I'm afraid it will be a while before mine looks like something.  So far, I have the basic frame together and I had to do some preliminary weathering because so much of it will show but I will not have good access to it.  Great work everybody and keep those pictures coming.  I should have some update pics this week end.

be tough over that darker green.

The yellow marking and the star of David look to be easy to make with carefull masking, for the numbers I was thinking of dry transfers, the only thing that bothers me is that small dark marking on the tail, it's too small to see what exactly it is on the picture, so, I'll guess I'll just look around in my spare decals map to find something remotely resembling this.  I'm not doing this build as a super detailed/ accurate project, it's just fun to do.

Not much has changed after these pictures have been taken, the only thing I did was closing up the belly, and fighting the carpet monster to get a couple of pe pieces back that fell off, only one is still missing.

NO!  Lawyers! Angry [:(!]  Just look at any legal contract.  First, the can't use simple sentence structure; and second they use words that I am not sure are real words. My 2 cents [2c]

Got several other projects off of the bench last night. Smile [:)] Hope to at least get the B-25 opened up and reviewed tonight.

So, just out of curiousity I opened up the TBM Avenger box and perused the parts tree.  I sorta knew the Avenger was a big plane, but holy Censored [censored] she's a big plane!  I just didn't realize it's sheer bulk compared to other single-engine planes of WWII.  A P-47 looks kinda average now Mischief [:-,]

Well, just a little work on the schnellboot. I got the hull halves together. working out of order from the instructions but they're just guidelines anyway, right? I'll get pics when I have some more progress.

I need your opinions.  First a look at the complete frame subassembly.  Still all kinds of stuff to go on this but not just yet. Smile [:)]

Almost to the opinion part... I just thought I would show you this. Man, talk about visible pin marks!

Now Smile [:)] the opinion part... Should I paint the interior of the cab a dirty greasy white or very light grey or should i paint it the same medium grey that the exterior will be?

I'm going to try real hard to make the roof removable so that you can see the cool stuff inside.  What cool stuff you ask?  Just so you have an idea how much detail will be inside, here is a pic of the real deal. (I really do not want to paint it black)

I would really like some suggestions.  I'm kinda leaning to the light greay.

And yeah, razor... I have to admit, I am swayed by sizeSmile [:)] I really like em big.  The nice thing about big models is that the parts are actually big enough to hol.

she is coming out really well huge model indeed. me personally i like the black in the real pic but unfortunately that would cover up a lot of detail. if i were to go with another color i would go with the gray .

Paul, I know you are not going for accuracy in terms of colour here but in my mind white just wouldn't look right as the dust from all the coal would make it look dirty pretty quick.  I agree with Lord Kenny and would go with the grey.

Wow, that looks, well euh BIG... Thumbs Up [tup] In my humble opinion, I would use black and than pick out the detail with coal black (this color is available in the Humbrol assortement under that name. White would deffinitely not be an option, the modern diesel locomotivs I drive have grey interior and even those modern monsters get black after a couple years in service, on must not forget that the engineer driving it was not only putting coal in it, wich ofc produced a lot of dust, but was also constantly busy with oil.

You can send me the cab for a couple of days. I've been working in the coke plant lately and EVERYTHING gets covered with coal dust (even in the closed office). I'll set it outside and then all you need to do is give it a coat of future to keep it all in place.Whistling [:-^] I can never figure out why when I blow my nose it all comes out blackConfused [%-)] Or you could airbrush overspray to simulate coal dust and use artists' oils for the oil and grease.

Paul,

I gotta jump on this bandwagon Propeller [8-].  Greasy grey would seem to be the best choice (other than black, which, like our good Lord Kenny, I agree would cover too much detail).

I say gray too - the darker the better.  but not black.  That's a good call.
