Been away for awhile (work and life). Not sure how this with "Kelly's Heroes" got going....
I agree, a great movie. No, it is not "historical" and the writers took plenty of liberty with the story. But it is still a great movie. And for the time that it was made, during the Vietnam War, and the attitudes in our culture at that time. I think I remember on film critic saying this is WWII history on Flower Power Drugs.
Can't thik of the actor's name, but the guy that played the ever absent (both pysically & mentally) Luetenant. He was a great minor character. I still get a chuckle when I think of the character.
If you get a chance to buy the movie, you need to (about $10 at best Buy if they have it).
