I think I might join w/ a Hornet on-a-stick! Check this out:

Though I've heard they have since repainted it in a newer Golden Dragons scheme, era 2002-2003.Confused [%-)]

Should be a fairly easy build (for the kids reading in this is called "famous last words")...gear up...little cockpit detail.  Scratch build the pole she sets on.  Only thing that worries me is finding the correct decals.

If all my builds go well and I can find a kit I'll jump in with an A-4 Skyhawk.

I am thinking of trying the Testor Decal paper and applicator spray stuff.  Anyone have any experience with it?  The instructions say that any inkjet printer will work, but I am questioning that a bit. Confused [%-)]

well heres a quick update...as soon as funding starts building again.....(truck took  s#!tSoapBox [soapbox]) ill be able to get the fj-4b fury...either in 1/48 from match box or 1/72 from emhar. the voodoo on the other hand will be a little harder to find....i have found some on ebay....f-101b's...i can just say its an f model...but still no luck on finding anything definitive...so if by july i still cant find anything ill just drop the voodoo for the gb and stick with the fury.

also if yous want to see the specific aircraft...heres the website...just click on the equipment tab and go over to fj-4b fury and voodoo

Joe,

The idea is to reproduce something as it is on dispaly.  But if oyu don't have the ability to produce your own decals, or don't have extras in the stash to make them, just get as close as you can to the subject and the way it is displayed as you can.  Rules in this GB are made of a soft rubbery like substance to remain flexible.

Soooooooooooo anyone start on this GB yet or have any ideas on what you will be building ?

As for me I found the photos I was looking for and this is what I am going to build.

Don't know when I will be starting it.

I have some other things I am working on right now " Buffalo and the P-51A "

Well I would like to join this group build...I just have to find kits of two birds...
Both of the aircraft are on display at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval Park.

The first one is an FJ-4 Fury that served with VA-126

The second one is an F-101F Voodoo it served with The New York Air National Guard's 107th Tactical Interceptor Group as part of the "Rainbow Squadron."

Sorry guys... I think I'm going to drop out of this build.  I want to build my Missouri more in a WWII configuration.  And I just can't figure anything else out.  Thanks.

Nope. China lake has the A-5A/A3J-1 with the solid red tail.

This one was put up at the ex- NAS Sanford in Florida. Now Sanford Muncipal Airport.

or I could attempt this oneTongue [:P]

actually, I'm looking at what I have in my stash & have decals for. Don't think I have any for RVAH-3 (the Vigi at Sanford)  The RF-4B I have in those markings tho.

I've already joined in on this one.  Still not quite sure of what I want to do.  I think I will need to take a trip out to the old Lowry AF base near here to remind myself what they have on display.  If that doesn't get my decesion made, I will need to take a trip (about 1 hr south) to the the Air Force Acadamey to consider one of the planes on the parade ground.  The B-52 that they have on a display stand outside the North Entrance could be an idea as well.  Especially if I were to add the Pine trees that suround it on two sides.

Anybody need me to take any photos?  Be a few weeks, as there is about 26" of snow on the ground.  Not sure if anyone wants to add snow to their model?
