WOW that does deserve a drink.  I have some Lambic in the fridge that I may have to crack open

If this GB (with the Capt. blessing)becomes the USN/USMC build you will get to hit that mark a few times, maybe the 10,000 mark

Time to open the bar, I'm off for the next FOUR DAYS!!!  Don't know how I managed it this close to Christmas, I suppose it's from working double time all week getting ahead.  My cracked, bloody fingers are a testament to that!  Unfortunately, that means little or no modeling for a bit until they settle down.  They were so sore this morning I couldn't even push the "on" button on my electric toothbrush down far enough to get it to turn on.  Luckily, a quick bang on the counter got it started.  Well, I'm off to watch a movie with my Lady and enjoy some relaxation.  See you lads later!

   Hey guys. Just wanted to give ya a heads up here. I've got the bench packed and stored away for he time being (but the kits are still handy) I'm moving out of my apartment here, so i'll be misplaced for a while. Rent issues mostly. So that being said, i'll be a bit scarce here on the forums for a while. At least until i get st up elsewhere or at least until i can get some kinda predictibility in my schedule here. it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that As of now I have to withdraw from all the GB.  I was one of a few that were ask to resign or be fired from our school.  Budget cutting.

Maybe sometime in the next year I may be able to join again.  It's that at this point in time I have to put my family first.

I am very sorry to hear of your situation!  Especially after packing up and moving across the country for that job.  Keep your chin up mate, tomorrow will be better.  If you are able to re-join next year, look us up- we'll still be drinkin' rum and glueing plastic!

I spent some time on the Dauntless today, replacing the forward gun barrels with fine brass tube and adding a piece of brass screen to the front of the oil cooler.  The kit part has a very fine impression of the screen, but the molding didn't quite capture all of the detail.  I also managed to finish filling and sanding the seams on the wing to fuse joint, and re-scribed the lost panel lines.  Here's a quick photo of the guns and oil cooler:

However, I too have been through this and while it’s a right royal pain in the butt at the time, you will come out the other end and everything will be ok.
