Ridle, The Tamiya 1/32 F-15E is pretty much the same.. has screws for securing parts and the metal landing gear. I have the Strike Eagle in my stash and picked it up at a garage sale still brand new unopened for $15.00. Thats practicly stealing it, hehehe.
I suggest you go with the resin seats but add the ejection hoses from the box set to it. I am using a Legend F-4J resin set in my Phantom. (see picture) Ejection hoses on top on seat is from the box. Paint seat accordingly and add the hoses last with a bit of super glue.
Cj, I would look into Photo Etch set before you consider a resin set. Having worked with both resin and PE I feel PE is alot easier to work with. Below is a pic of my F-8E, this gunfighter was published in an article I submitted to ARC and I used an Eduard F-8 PE set for the cockpit detail.
