Or upload the saved badge to photobucket (free to set up an account), then copy and past the image line into your signature.

How do you get the badge into your signature and make it show up in the first place?

EDIT: Got it to work, but it's cutting off my kit list. Is there any way to fix that?

You can all use the respective participation badge now, that way the GB will get more publicity even before it starts.

You can also make the badge a link to the GB thread, like it is in my signature, using the following code:

<A href="/forums/846344/ShowPost.aspx"><img src="insert image url here" border=0></A>

You will need to put the URL of your respective badge in the code in place of the italicized text. Once you've done that, copy all the green text into your signature.

I think you can take the badge now.....but can only take the Medal after the (your) build is complete.

Are we allowed to take the group badge already, or do we have to wait until it starts? This is a long wait Zzz [zzz]

Sure, that'd be fine. As long as what you're building really is GB participation and not just an excuse to claim a badge for an already-started model, partially completed kits are fine. Knowing you, lack of participation shouldn't be a problemWink [;)]

Speaking of Semovente....... I happen to have one that I started a year ago for the Light Armor GB.  Would it be ok to finish it here (in addition to my M3 Honey of course)?

Here's a very early version of it, with the 47mm gun I think.

Thanks for the heads up Rick, I'll see if I can find a nice AM set.  Smile [:)]

I've been looking over my Academy M3 Stuart "Honey".  It really is a neat little kit.  I'm leaning towards the camo and markings of either of the two 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars, 7th Armored Division.  The color scheme is very unique.  I'm not sure how I'm going to pull of masking and spraying the straight edged camo pattern though.  Shock [:O] Should be a fun challenge.  Smile [:)]

MWS....it's painful Sad [:(] I completely forgot about how I should eventually get another AB so when things like this happen, or even when I break parts and I have to wait for them to come, I don't have to stop modeling...The next $40 will be for a 200-20 hopefully. (That $40 may end up paying Badger for repairs Black Eye [B)])

Bummer ben.  That's one reason why I've accumulated 3 AB's.  Can't risk modelers withdrawel syndrome Whistling [:-^].

I think I can throw my hat in the ring on this one.  I should be finishing up a Kittyhawk on the P-40 group build around the time this one starts and had planned on another, a 260 Squadron one, afterwards, so the timing works out well.  I have a 48th scale AMT P-40K (Kittyhawk Mk.III) that I think I'll use.

After looking through the stash, I'm shocked to find I only have 2 kits that meet the GB criteria.  Since I've already blown the modeling budget this year, my financial advisor (wife) says I can't buy any new kits, so I'll have to make do.

Sign me up for a Tamiya 1/48 Panzer III Ausf.N, Tunisia, 1942.  If time allows, I'll also try & fit in a Hasegawa 1/48 Spitfire Mk.Vb, Tunisia/North Africa, 1943.

PM inbound.

Regards,  Rick

Roger Unfortunately I've got to wait for one of my builds to be released which won't be until late Nov early Dec.  But at least once the start date rolls around I can start work on my Panzer III.

Did I say five badges? I meant SIX!

Alright sir, made up my mind, I'll start w/Germany, doing a 1/35 Tamiya Sd.Kfz.222. Followed by a 1/32 scale Macchi C.202 Folgore in Tunisian markings for Italy. Will do the 21st Century Models... I'm usually a 1/48 scale guy, but I'm dying to find out what a $9 Wal-mart kit can be made into. Question [?] Should be interesting, to say the least. Smile [:)]

Put me down as a definite starter for this one.  You can put me down for a Tamiya 1/48 Fiesler FI-156 Storch and a Tamiya 1/48 Panzer III Ausf L but I have a lot in the stash so there could be others.

Btw, I really like the badge idea nice one Thumbs Up [tup]

Cheers
