Hey dupes, this past week has marked the end of any serious school work for me. Back to modeling! Is it ok if I resume my build and post pics? All I really have to do is weather it (snow, mud etc. all the camo is done already) or am I too late? I did finish all the painting and assembly back in april, just had to put a hold on modeling for studying for finals and AP tests.

MG42 - certainly feel free to continue posting your pics in this thread. Thumbs Up [tup] It's a bit late for the badge, however, and I'm actually working on the end-of-GB wrapup thread as we speak (sitting in my car in the rain mooching some broadband off of the coffee shop in town - heh Wink [;)]) so you probably won't make that.

Gotta go snag some lunch, but I shooooould be able to bang that thread out today. Look for it over in the armor forum. Cool [8D]

Laugh [(-D]  That's pretty funny dupes!!  I can't help but picture you huddling over a laptop furiously tapping on the keyboard, in a cold damp car parked in a dark alley, rain pounding on the roof, windows wet with interior condensation, and coffee customers sitting inside the shop nice & dry sipping on their java completely oblivious to your...."mooching"!!  hehe!  I LOVE IT!!

I got smart, though, and went over to the Mexican restaurant across the street...much warmer in here, I can still snag the signal, and of course the Spicy Sausage Burrito with a side of Black Bean Soup with lime and sour cream is helping out as well. Big Smile [:D]

ALRIGHTY then. I've trudged through alllll 43 pages of wintery goodness, and here's what I've put together. I'm hoping this works, so I'm going to do a test-post here before putting it up in the armor forum.

LUFTWOLLER - you moved the pics of your KV-II! If you could pick out your favorite one and re-post it here with a working link, I would LOVE to add you to the completed roster!

JThurston - your T-34 was just about done...are you still out there anywhere?

The TEST POST:

This is the wrapup for the recently completed Winter Warriors GB - I went through the GB archives and pulled out what I considered to be the best single pic of each completed build. A few of the pics are in "not-quite-finished" stages, as in the ensuing time some pics had been moved...there are also some that were finished, but the builders sadly disappeared from the build. Warning - there ARE a couple of A/C in here...heh.

Completed Builds (in chronological finishing order, for the most part):

Biffa - T34

SMJModeler - SU-122

Plastic_Cross - M7 Priest

Arki30 - Bf-109F-4

Slightly Altered - Tiger I Late

Panzer88 - 251/9

Luftwoller - KVII

Tellis - M36

Dostacos - M8

Dupes - Panther

Detailfreak - Panzer III

Some Assembly Required - Marder III

BobBaily - T34

Townsy - Strv.103B

Dupes - Ju-87B-2 Stuka

Espins1 - 38(t)Ausf.F

Bufflehead - Panzer IV Ausf.G

dupes:  Nice way to wrap things up.  I like how you, as the moderator, make this post instead of all us participants...all of them together...easy viewing.  Nice work, and terrific "MC" job there sir.

...when did you say Winter Warriors II startsWink [;)]?

Why thank you sir. Bow [bow]

Definitely better to have them all in one post, rather than hoping that everyone adds their own pics (which ends up being about a MILLION pics) to a wrap up thread.

I would look for Winter Warriors II - The Wintering on the 1st of December. Wink [;)]

dupes: I'd guess snow and winter are about the LAST thing you want to discuss right now!

Hmmm. Saddler, did you JUST change the link for your pics? I just got Luftwoller's link to finish things up, and yours is now broken! I'll take it out for now, shoot me a new link/pic here in this thread as soon as you can and I'll add it to the wrap-up!

SMJ - I'll be very glad not to see any snow until December. Angry [:(!]

Thanks dupes for letting me still go on. Should I post here or make a new post in the armor forum? Or both? And great idea with putting everyones pictures all together, thats something ive always wanted to see at the end of a GB.

When do you plan on posting the finished builds page?  I have made a couple of tweaks to my Pz.Kpfw. 38(t) Ausf. F.  I corrected the color of the handles on the wire cutters, which should be reddish brown as they are made of bakelite.  I have known that for a while now, but for some reason was in a hurry to finish this build and it slipped past me.  I also found a small PE bracket the carpet in my den for holding the two spare track links on the left rear fender and reattached it.

Can I post an updated picture for the final build thread?

bufflehead:  Thank you for the clear and concise description on those tracks...I came down to the office today specifically to write down the technique (no web at home).  I am just about to start the tracks for my Panther...this method will work great and help achieve the look I want, well worth the extra effort to get hereThumbs Up [tup].
