Well I've been at the Cottage the last 2 weeks and got a TON of work done on my Chally, In fact, it's done!

*BEWARE DIAL-UP USERS**LOTS O' PICS!*

These are also the first three figures I've ever done, the Loader and TC I 'borrowed' from my Challenger 2 kit that I built last year, and the driver is one I just did, sorta gives a little bit of a snapshot of the progress I've made in figures since reading HermesMiniatures' excellent tutorial over in the "Figures" forum:

Without figures:

And one without the upper hull to showoff the Friul's:

Boy did alot of work go into this one! I cut off over 80 solid plastic grab handles and replaced them all with wire substitutes. I coated all horizontal surfaces in Krylon "textured" spray paint to simulate the anti-slip surface. I assembled around 180 Friul links and painted those anoying  rubber pads along with adding a couple hundred little "knicks". Hand painted the all the signs that are numbered "42". Drilled out the solid plastic headlights then painted them silver and filled them with white glue. I used a bunch of stowage from Tamiya's modern stowage set, and I made all of the tarps from Kleenex's soaked in white glue and water.

I'll be making another thread for it over in Armor.

Thanks for looking!

I'm sorta kinda but not to much base my paint patern on the one in the pic I posted but do eny of you guys know where KT's with that patern served so I can find unit emblems and tank numbers from that regin.

the star probably stands for different kit parts in the same box.  your KT kit might have Kit 'X' parts aswell.

Or, alternatively, I'm completely wrong, and Tamiya just likes stars.

Anywho, unfortunately, since only 50 porsche turrets types were produced, every one would have zim.  BUT, don't worry about it.  I didn't put zim on mine, i don't think it's a big deal, just build for fun.

Remember, all of you:  This is our art medium.  While others use pen and paper, we use paint and plastic.  Therefore, we are all given a little artistic license when it comes to finishing the final product.

And that, dear modelers, is TacoBuff's deep thought for the day.

Taco... no zim for me I could'nt buy eny and my putty atemps where terible and the sodering iran tequniqu scares me but I'm going to practice more zim tequniqus but not on this build because some of the porshe KT where zim less. Got this pic from my main refrance book TANKS by George Forty it also has camo on the weels.

The kit is Tamiya 35169*3900 (I wonder what the star in the middle is) and a Lion Roar PE set.

yes, but they were painted.  Most, probably if not all, KT's were camo'd even the wheels.  How are you going to do your zim?

Nice porsche, what kit/manufacturer?  I'm building one for the Big Cats GB.

Stick man, i hate to be the bringer of bad news but AFV road wheels painted in camo like how you did stands out very well on the front but where its a Kt you shoudnt have any problems from the shermansAlien [alien]

Update on my KT.

befor the PE hulls are not glued together.

after I glued the PE and the hulls are glued together.

I have painted all the weels and weathed half of them

It's funny that on the kits box art it shows a wire leeding to the headlight but there is'nt one in the kit or in the PE set I bought for it so I had to make one myself
