**Official** junior modeller group build thread!

Thamks taco.  Yeah my figgies aren't so good, but its really just their faces that are bad.  I sprayed it white and then put individual red decals cut from the supplied sheet.  A PITA for sure, but I think it turned out well

Looks really good raider!  My only beef is that your figure looks a little lifeless.  but don't worry, its something everyone works on.

I'm very impressed by the checkered scheme.  were those ALL decals?

My Jeep pics are finally here! This is the best one.  See more of this and its dio in the a/c forum.

I got most of the bodywork done on the Chally and should be able to paint it this weekend! I'm planning on making it look like a vehicle that the British used to train on here in Canada at BATUS(British Army Training Unit Suffield) in Alberta back in the 90's.

On a downside however, still waiting for those blasted tracks

Andl, I've always been into more German and British things...

Well, I made another order yesterday, just full of cheap kits and 3 paintpots. As usual, ordering from the UK and avoiding the darn costumes.. Err, customs..   This order was intended to fill the stash.. or, get a stash.. And to try new manufacturers. The two new ones were Zvezda (I love saying that name! ) and Pavla Models.

What I ended up with for less than 40$ was all this:

1x Dragon 1/144 Tank carrying car with Panzer 38T and railway flatbed

1x Zvezda 1/72 IL-2M

1x Tamiya 1/100 Me262A & Me163B (50% off )

1x Pavla models 1/35 Russian AT rifle PTD 14.5mm (It was so cheap...)

1x Revell 1/76 Churchill A.V.R.E. (30% off

3x Paintpots...

so finally something russian, british and German... Those are the three major nations in WWII I fancy the most.. Germany and British first.. probably German at top.. :)

no, i'm not building a russian tank (don't have one in the stash).  Herman the German is FUBAR talk for GI's in WWII.  They refered the luftwaffe as Herman the German, after Herman Goering.  By heading east, i was playing on the joke that the luftwaffe was headed to the FAR east, into the PTO, to dogfight huxy...

PHEWWWW! that was an overly complicated explanation to a simple historical joke. 

You fly boys shoulda picked up on the Herman part (he is a WWI ace after all).  Probably the lack of oxygen up there at 30,000 feet.

Taco Time you got it all wrong my friend, maybe this sounds crazy but instead of crashing, maybe you can put the landing gears down.

looks like Herman the German is headed east boys.

i've built a couple planes, I've got an on again off again P-51B in the wings (get it).  It's missing a canopy piece so i'll have to scratch that some how...

And to point out, what happens when you fly boys run out of gas?   VROOOOMMM POW!  crash, boom, much death, and wasted metal.  When will you propellar heads get down and dirty?

Hey Huxy, Nope its right its not splinter, It looks like the decal sheet shows. Maybe I SHould put it in Japanese Markings!
