Wow. I have a feeling there's going to be a run on panzer gray other-sourced spare parts on a lot of builds in the armor forum for the next couple of months.

Not only does this look spectacular, you cranked it out in what, less than 2 weeks of actual build time (minus that AMPSEast trip)? Dinged up cans are spot on. Shame we can't see more of all that suspension work you did...maybe throw it in a dio, blown up and flipped over?

Them's some awfully crusty mufflers! You coat them in cayenne pepper or something? 

That is a great model Marc!  I really love that camo and the beat up cans.

Here is an update of my b-berg kitty.  I finally got it to the point of priming.  Which will be done before bed time.  I finished the turret bin that was driving me bonkers.  Had to fill and sand enough, but it turned out ok. 

The next pictures show the tiger before priming.  I cut 16 small squares to represent the mounting points for the fenders.  Also I drilled out the bolt holes as well.  The extra mounts on the left side are for the track cable.  This cable will be left off since the real b-ber tiger didn't have one.  Also not shown, I made up two tow cables from my parts stash.  These will be added during the weathering stage.  I added two small pieces of plastic to the spare track holder on the front plate.  Varius tool clamps were added as well.  I love the griffin hinges.  They go together so much easier than the lion roar ones.  Also as a added bonus the tools can be added after the painting without worrying about the hinge coming apart.  Also, I put 4 pieces of plastic rod on the rear deck to represent the mounts for the airfilter, which are missing.  One small note I tried to represent the weld bead for the smoke grenade launchers.  The b-berg tiger didn't have them, but I figured they would have be cut off.  Hince the weld bead on the turret sides below the weld bead on the turret roof.  Various handle and electrical pipe were fashioned from wire.

  You've done a great job on assembling the Tiger, especially with all of the mods.

I've made some progress with my 152. This PE is kicking my butt in terms of time, and homework hasn't helpped with that. At the moment the gun and upper hull are just fitted and not glued. Also the PE cover on the gun and the visor covers are not guled on. Testing fit right now. I plan on gluing it all once I have more pieces completed so I don't waste my glue tips. Anyway, on to the pics.

I'm not sure how to paint and weather it yet. I've read that the ISU152 was relatively new in 1945. How bad did the Soviets treat their vehicles?

So, I've got the road wheels, sprocket and ideler wheel dry fitted to the suspension. Im finishing up the PE work(that is relative term of course, its going to be awhile longer). I'm reading up on painting techniques in preperation for painting. I may have some pictures up later tonight of my current progress.

 Oh, guys, post up more WIP pics! I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wants to see what everyone is up to.

 Geist, Have a couple of progress pics...

 The reference pics I've got of the GPA partaking of it's amphibious role really don't show mud on the hull, but as I had planned to show this particular vehicle mired on the banks I took the artistic license and liberally applied "Bondo Mud" to the wheel wells and lower hull.

 Here's a pic of it in it's "Rattle Can Red Oxide" primer coat. The windshield hasn't been attached yet to accomodate painting.

 Just realized after looking at the pics.,that the handles on the Hull haven't been added

 That's about it for now. Comments and Suggestions always welcome.

 Put some paint on the Amphibian, Shot it with Tamiya X-19 smoke which gave it a gloss, applied decals from the spares box.

 Here is where the GPA is at...

 Will be applying the weathering this week and the DULLCOAT! Trying to reposition a Soviet driver to fit behind the wheel.

 espins1, thanks for the comment. Looking on the net today and found a picture of the maxim M1910.  got some painting to do on that.  looks like the entire carriage and barrel jacket were OD. Got some belt ammo for it just need to get it painted the correct colors!

  did get most of the weathering done. Need to bleach the seats out. Will be posting some pics.

Mobious  looking good.  Can't wait till it gets all dirty.

Update on my b-berg tiger.  Well, I got the pre-shading done and guess what.  More sanding. .  I then thought that the sanding was all done and I sprayed the first coat of dunkelgab.  For this I used around a 50/50 mix of middlestone and white.  Looking great so far till I did a close inspection.  And the sanding sticks were not ready to go into the tool box.  Again the f'n turret basket called out to me.  And not to let the turret basket feel lonely I found four tool holes that I thought were good, were not.  Out came the putty again.

Well thats it for now. I am off to sand again.  Will update with pics as soon as the filling and sanding is done.

Real nice Mobious. Where did you get the Maxim, from the Tamiya Russian figure kit?

Well, I'm suffering from BMS (Blind-man syndrome) for looking at all these tiny pieces. This is turning into one of the more challenging builds I've dealt with. Lots of tiny pieces, poor instructions and lots of sanding and puttying. I do hope I stick with it to the end.

 Thanks tigerman, looking forward to seeing the AFV PAK40 pics soooon! Hope those itty bitsy parts aren't giving too much trouble. The Maxim came from the Tamiya GAZ kit, it's an oldie but looks like a decent easy to build kit. The figures aren't much to look at. I'm trying to get the driver's @$$ behind the wheel of the Amphi without destroying it! Never realized that the overweight Ivans were assigned to the motorpool

 Applied a few washes, repainted the Maxim and added a DML ammo belt from the spares box.

 Knocked off the windshield slide last night, didn't know until I took a couple of pics today. Seen it was gone thought to myself "I'll never find that". Happened to open the desk drawer and there it sat on top of my Evergreen styreen. For every PE part I've found dozens have went missing without a trace?
