Flyboy 1 reporting: I see a possible target, going in! Seriously guys, I think it's a great idea and I would like to torment myself with endless repetition of painting roadwheels and cleaning up tracklinks, so count me in.Banged Head [banghead] One thing that's pretty important to me is the timeframe you guys have in mind. Right now I'm kinda committed to a few very nice projects with wings, so it might be a little while befor the rustbucket is finished.Big Smile [:D] I might do an M3 Lee or something german... dunno yet... requests?(I'm going to regret that I'm sure)
Armormaster, shame on you for referring to yourself as an OKAY flyboy modeler! You rule and you know it, lol!Cool [8D]

This is indeed crazy, but a good kind of crazy. Whine, whine, it's just that there are so many builds going on. My P-47 heard all the commotion and now it's begging to be built. Stop, stop, I say! What's a poor treadhead to do?Yah, I know, get off my lazy Censored [censored] and get building. Oh......if it were just that easy. Disapprove [V]

hehehehe............(look around suspeciously)........... hehehehehe
For the Normandy GB, I was going to do a wingy thingy..... a 1/72 P-47..... shot down by a wirblwind! hehehehe! Does that count? O please, O please, O please! Battle damage (from bad guys, not weather) is alot easier on a/c than it is on tanks...... do you get where I'm going with this...... maybe, all a/c build in the armor forum should be...... well, lets say..... "slightly used".

Do we need a cobuilder?
Or a ground crew that will wash the model and lay out all the parts, so I can walk over to the bench and just build a little (weather permitting).Wink [;)]

Im in!! but......I build armor models ( most of the time anyway ) but I work as an aircraft mechanic. Should I build an aircraft or a tank??? Big Smile [:D]

I have a 1/32nd scale F/A-18 C Hornet that I have only just started, I guess I could hold that for a while.

I was actually refering to the amount of pieces. I have a 109 Messershmittle somethinanother thing. It has 3 sprues which include the body and wings.

My first thought was that Joe belongs to us now, so he would have to build a plane, but then I thought the last thing we need is him having a wingy thing relapse, so perhaps you better build a tank Joe!

Me, I'd love to build a North African Storch in 1/32.

Seeing how I have a grand total of one AC kit on the shelf, this could be a cool thing to do so I can have an excuse to build it. The one I have sounds like the P47 above. About 10 pieces to the whole thing, but I'm sure there is a catch to it.

I tend to agree. I built a 1/48 P47 about a month ago. The kit only had about 2 dozen pieces and I must have pulled more hair out trying to build that thing and get the paint and decals on right (no covering mistakes up with mud here)

Hmmm, interesting. But I'll bet there are more "armor" modelers who do or have done planes than aircraft modelers who do tanks. (Also, my personal opinion, but I think most (certainly not all) armor models are easier than planes. That center fuselage seam always gets me!
