SLW 45, thank you. I think what my block is to finish it is that I haven't weathered a vehicle for over 20 years and even then It was high school quality on a few tanks.  So more than likely that is what is holding me up. I'm thinking about practicing on a few spare kits so I do not mess up the speeder and have to start over on the paint work. Any suggestions would be helpful too!

What I do is I take old kits that I built that have issues or problems, or I just dont want to look at anymore, and repurpose them as practice surfaces.  I work on them and do all the new techniques, OR I use them for practice, like what you need to do.

Are those old kits painted from when they were originally built? I have some old kits not built but I think ill just paint the bodies of the kits and then practice from there.

very nice looking speeder. it was worth the effort.

Now, I don't mean (or want) to be nit-picky,but I noticed that it says "Still Smokin'" on top of your speeder. As a Star Wars geek, I couldn't help but wonder...Shouldn't that be in the Star Wars' alphabet? (for the alphabet, google "Basic Alphabet" or "AureBesh")

probably. last night watching A New Hope, i noticed that when they arrive at docking bay 94, you can actually read 94 on the wall.

Yeah, in the Star Wars universe, numbers are the same as what we use (Arabic), but letters appear in a language dubbed 'Aurebesh', that, when translated (letter for letter) correctly, come out as English.

In ANH everything was originally in English it wasn't until the SE versions did things get changed to Aurebesh.

It was however on the computer screens in RotJ.

The image Klik posted is actually from the Star Wars Monopoly game, there have been several fonts available since then.

sorry just saw your question.

The black on the muzzles is artist ink, sprayed backwards with canned air.

Well most of the photos of the build up are not showing up, kinda was forced to close a website that I had for al most five years that had the photos linked to it, so they went away. Trying to figure out a way to post the pics to the web with out going thru the thread and try to remember where each one went. If i can come up with a way to post them , like in photobucket, then ill just post a link here for it!
