I suppose I could be persuaded, but please not too early a start 'cause I've got other Group Build commitments....!

Right on dj , were thinking in about 2 weeks to start and ending sometime in June , so it should give everyone plenty of time to finish off other projects as well .

I might join it lightly on the side, can't get parts I want for a few weeks. [:V]

Mine will be 90% scratchbuild and will be an original design.

BTW, what will everybody else be doing??

Mine would be something like a gunship, I would say 90-100% scratchbuilt as wellBig Smile [:D]

I haven't really started yet , but I'm thinking about doing something from Star Wars , something you just don't see in model kits , like the E-Wing fighter or maybe something else , or something completly different , I do know it will be 100% scrath built as I've never done a complete scrth build I want to try it out and see what I get . Who knows maybe it'll even look like a starfighter ?Dead [xx(]

This is also my first on scratch-building a spaceship! It's a 5 man-crew.

Great sketch Dan! I can't wait to see it take form. Do we have a firm start date? I have a stock pile of styrene & stuff so I'm ready to go! Mine will be a long range escort fighter with combination ion/chemical engines, two man crew, and armed with twin gatling partical beam cannons. I'm really looking forward to this build! Wink [;)]

Right on Woody seems like your ready for it and it looks like we have a group build , I'm currently finishing up some other projects , and while I thought I was going to do something from Star Wars , I'm not quite sure now , it'll be something but while I'm completeing my other things I'm doing skecthes of fighter plans . As for an offical start date I think it's the 22nd of this month and ending the 22nd of June . So build , build , build . And to all that have joined up for this group build welcome and thank you Sign - Welcome [#welcome]Thumbs Up [tup]

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen! This build should be fun....good detailed descriptions of all types of ships. I wonder if we can put up a site to display all the finished projects.

That's a great idea , I have no clue on building websites , so I'm gonna have to let somebody with more experience handle that one though .

Wow a web site for the sci-fi scratch builder! That would be a dream come true! A first rate idea. Cool [8D]

I am not very good at this web stuff, but my homepage could be used as a "last resort " for posting the finished projects on a separate scifi build page. I am sure there are plenty of talented folk on here though, who could do wonders! ~ : )

Hey Dan what do you think about using your concept sketch for a group build badge? If it had a text line stating "Sci-Fi Fighter Group Build" it would be perfect. It would let everyone know about the build wherever we post. What do you think?

Only if everyone else doesn't object. I think we still have so much diversity when it comes to one idea, but i sure do appreciate your vote!

Ok update time ,

I've scratched the idea of doing something from Star Wars , reason being is as I was at work today I started doodling ( yeah getting work done ) and started drawing what I thought would make a cool looking starfighter and I just think I like what I drew better than doing something else somebody else came up with , plus I think Dan's looks cool and I want to see if I can make my picture come to life .
