Whew! Finally able to get back to work on the
D-6!
Finished bashing the nacelle struts then reattached the engines.

Sculpting the belly proved to be amazingly easy.
Built the forward plane out of card and then the waist (or thickest cross section of the belly) and filled that space with Magic Sculp.
The ventral fantail puzzled me for a bit.
But finally I just went for it and bent a piece of card and CA-ed it into place. More MS and a bit of sanding and
voila!

Just this morning I laminated plastic card (read
For Sale signs from WalMart) and shaped the upper portion of the neck.
Now I have to fashion the lower half of the neck before I build the command section.
I have the forward topedo tube ready for just such an eventuality.
I know this would be more exciting with pictures. But that will have to wait until next week.
Let your imagination picture what I have done so far.
Even without paint, it is looking amazingly like Masao's design!
Pictures by Monday!
