I hate to say this, but as the years go by there are less and less people making models. The younger people just are not interested. I remember when I was a kid almost every young boy, me included,  had a model train set in his basement. When is the last time you saw that?

Your comments and questions are always welcome.

I've been reading through the Community forums for years, but I only occasionally leave a remark. I've been unable to login or leave a message for quite a while now, and I thought I must have offended somebody and gotten banned. Good thing I read through this posting because I never would have thought to go incognito otherwise. That's the only reason I am able to post now.

This really aggravated me because I tried FineScale's links for fixing website problems, and I even tried to change my password, but all I ever got was a useless form to fill out. Upon completion of that form I can find out when my subscription ends, but it doesn't do any of the things they say it should. It seems impossible to contact anybody for help, and I'm starting to think they have written the forums off.

When I add that to the fact new pictures in the gallery are getting sparse, it makes me wonder if Fine Scale is on a downhill slide. Anybody else starting to wonder?

Not sure I'd say downhill slide but the forums here sure ain't what they used to be. I remember about 5-10 years ago you'd get a dozen or so new posts a day on the more popular areas like aircraft and armour and now you might get that many new posts a week.

I haven't seen Doog around here in forever..........

Doog was/is Karl Logan (if I remember correctly). Google his name for his latest status. I have a feeling that we won't be seeing any posts nor FSM articles from him for a long, long time.

Not good.

Ouch, I don't think I even want to know. Karl and I were different enough that we'd probably not get along as next door neighbors but he was always super helpful and nice enough to say kind stuff about my so-so models. I think I'd rather remember him that way...

Wow I would never of thought he would do something like that. He's posted photos before of him with his dogs and fiancé before, she's a beautiful woman don't see why he would want something so foul.

Anybody heard from Jeaton recently?

I talked to John last week. He seemed to have the same issues a lot of you did, selective browsers and devices could log on; others couldn't.

In my case and others, I was solidly locked out. John had some info about issues at the FSM ISP. My own access suddenly was restored without direct action on my part- everything I had tried didn't help.

Glad to see you guys are back. It was getting lonely in here. Great folks at SPAM and I used to post over there as well, but I can’t seem to figure out how to post pictures there since I switched from Photosucket to Shutterfly. I guess I gave up trying.
