Mike J

I think you might be right about a new census, I lost count after about the third or fourth page, wasn't prepared for popularity of this thread, thought it would die after about 5 pages or month, never expected to reach the number of pages its at now or still be going over a year later.

Maybe we do something like the group build and place a list containing the info suggested by Mike B on page 1 and keep it updated.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

I stumbled upon this site which is a handy reference. You'll find sections listing aircraft pix plus drawings & decals available from various makers for the various southern hemisphere air forces (generally recent stuff - jets - only).

I got some 'RAAF Faded Sky Blue Letters' from Red Roo. They're basically off-white letters & numbers in quite a variety of sizes & a couple of styles (stencil + typical san-serif for call sign lettering). You could easily spray them another colour as they're quite light.

Google search seems to show 3 common turret setups, no top turret (esp. RAAF & RNZAF), a central top turret (yanks?) & then the offset top turret.

Hi All,

Long time lurker now I'm out of the closet so to speak.

Names Shane currently living in Adelaide. My main interest is 1:35 Military ground based vehicles and I'm in my modern period at the moment but anything will do. I have dabbled in sci-fi and built some planes but the planes were about 30 years ago oh and one motor bike (that was 20 years ago). I did a truck once. Built it that is Blush [:I].
